It's not comforting to me when people begin their answers with "as far as I know".  I'm not a trusting person.  Is there a way to verify extension?

That FAQ is a good start.  Now I wonder how to contact a CO to get extended or does it happen automatically in Manila as has been suggested.  Thanks for the info.

Well then, since it's such a frequent occurrence it should be easy to tell me how to go about getting extended.

Listen, I'm just trying to avoid having my fiance show up for her interview and be told her case expired 3 days ago.  I doubt very much the guard outside the embassy has the power to extend anything.  With my luck he'll be the first one aware of the expiration.

You have extremely vivid imagination.  If you want to continue to feed your mania with needless made up stuff, then go for it

If you're not a trusting person, then why bother coming here to ask at all in the first place? Everyone here is trying to help one another, not to sabotage. Be a bit more grateful and appreciative. -_-

You ask why I bother asking questions here if I don't believe the answers.  It's a fair question and I will answer it.

I ask questions on this forum because I am unable to predict the future.  Until I ask the question I don't know the content or quality of the answers I will get.  A couple of the answers to this question were prefaced with the phrase "as far as I know".  To me that means "I think so but I'm not sure".  What would you have me do with information the provider isn't certain of?  I choose to continue to try to find better answers.  I am very grateful for every answer and especially to people like these who tell me up front that they are uncertain of their reply.  BTW, I have received numerous answers to questions I've asked here that were completely and verifiably accurate.  I wonder what premise you would use to berate me in cases like that.

Thanks for your permission to try to anticipate and solve problems before they occur.  You should try it yourself some time.
