Hello VisaJourney members,

I was hoping to get some answers from those that might find themselves in the same situation. My case (CR1) was approved by USCIS on 8/28/19 with an IOE number. I started calling after two weeks of having received this letter and NVC still has not received my case. We are approaching the 2 months since our approval from USCIS and yet NVC continues to say that they have not received it and to continue to give them time as they refine the process of these new electronic petitions. Any of you with an IOE receipt number experiencing the same thing? I'd like to know how long it will take for NVC to receive my case. I am getting a little worried and don't know if calling USCIS will help. Could anyone out there advice me on what to do? Any advice will GREATLY be appreciated!

have you tried tracking your package with the USCIS TRACKER  App? there you might be able to tell if it was ship out to NVC it should say  ( case was sent to the department of state ) or it will say that it was  ( approved ) and date.

mine was approved 08/15 and case was receive by nvc 08/26

I have the same date as yours 😦. I haven't received a case number yet 😒. I'm so ready to get this thing over with.

Hi @Ms.F.Brown1 I called USCIS and asked to speak to a tier 2 officer. The gentleman was nice and informative and put in a writing notification to the Texas Service Center inquiring about my case. I was told to wait another few weeks to receive a letter from USCIS stating when my case was sent to NVC.I’m hoping this helps and my case finally gets transferred over.

Hi @Khevinox I’ve been checking the app since I submitted my case. At first it wasn’t accepting the case number. Then after many tries it finally took it. Since 8/28, the message has been the same. That my case was approved and to wait for my approval letter which I got a few days after my approval. Thanks for the advice though!

I hope that they assign you a case number soon. As a heads up to all Cubans almost getting to the interview stage get ready for yet again the longest wait of your life. Interviews for Cuban's in Guyana currently taking up to 12 months or more for U.S Citizens and 16 months or more for Residents. Does not apply for K1 , only applies to us married folks and the rest of the petitions. I am case complete Feb 2019 , almost 9 months waiting for interview and nothing yet. And I have friends that are case complete Dec 2018 and nothing still so you can imagine how far this wait goes. I've called and emailed NVC and Guyana , they are throwing the ball back and forth. NVC blaming Guyana and Guyana blaming NVC and no answers. So all that is left is to wait.

This is insane. That's practically longer than what USCIS takes to approve petitions. So I am looking at 2 or more years for us to be together. Wow. That' really disappointing. And we just got started which is the worse case!!

I know! My USCIS petition approval took 8 months!! My interview is taking almost double. It will be 2 years in March since I started my petition and still nothing. 😭

Our petition is also at the Potomac service center and our priority date is July 3rd 2019. Is there anyone here with similar date and processing center who has been approved?
