My husband visa is refused due to them giving us a 221g with one document needed. 10/8/19 was our interview date. My husband passport and my 2018 Tax transcripts was kept at the interview, they gave the birth certificate and marriage certificate back to us. We sent the paperwork into the office 10/16/19. They gave us a receipt with everything checked and told us to wait on a email for my husband to pick his passport up. My question is how long do it take to get an update on his status.  Jamaica embassy

It is impossible to know how long. Most cases can be resolved within a few weeks to a month. Others may take longer. There is no way to know.

In a similar situation. Just curious. Did you upload the requested document to the ceac website or did they have you send them elsewhere?

I uploaded everything on NVC website. The one document we just took into their local office and got a receipt back.

Naw I’m still waiting for them to approve it.
