My 19 year old daughter got pregnant while her petition is on process. Should I inform the USCIS about this?

When I filed her petition she was not pregnant yet. But now she is 20 weeks pregnant and expected to give birth next year. I'm just curious if I should inform the USCIS about her pregnancy.

what type of petition are you filing for her? is it a USC filing for a child under 21, or a LPR filing for child under 21?

Thank you for answering my question ALEFUL. I am a Lawful permanent resident and petition my under 21 child. And that's what I thought. So lets say when the baby is born. Do I write a letter to them or called them?

if your daughter is at the nvc stage, the baby can be added to her petition as her derivative and both come

I thought There is no derivative for grandchildren.  Is it because she is LPR?

Baby can only be added after it’s born. It will get derivative status and can accompany its mom.

All F-number categories can have derivatives

It can come but you may want to check the rules for taking a baby out of the country when time comes. You may need permission from the father all depending on what country they are from.
