Hi Everyone,

 

I am trying to gather my documents for the NVC stage and I requested to have my 2018 tax transcript mailed to me. However, I also had the options for 2017, 2016, and 2015. Do I need to get it for each year or is 2018 OK?

2018 is OK: "You must provide either an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years." https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

As for transcripts, we went through the same embassy and only provided the transcripts for the most recent year.  You should be fine.

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
