Hi,

We have received our approval notice for i-130 and our case has been sent to NVC on Oct 7th.

I have checked with local police and police records take around 3 weeks to process, could be 3-4 weeks to receive.

Should we send a request for police records now or is it too early?

How up to date should they be?

Thank you for your answers.

Yes now would be good

Thanks.

Trying to request a police certificate, its asking 2 questions:
1 - What embassy/consulate to send it to.
2- The final abroad destination which the embassy/consulate should send it to.

I thought we can send it online to NVC. Any ideas on what we should do?

Thank you!

You need to have it sent to yourself. What is the country you are requesting from?

Israel

Israel is an exception where the PCC is sent to the consular section directly. Will you be interviewing in Israel?

Thank you so much!

Yes in Jerusalem.
With that in mind, how is this done if the rest of the documents I will be sending online to NVC ?

Does anyone know how to do this?

I wanted to request the police certificate now because it takes a few weeks to arrive, so I can have it when I get to the step where I need to submit these civil documents to NVC.
But if I can't receive it personally - meaning they will only send it to embassies or consulates - will I have to wait until I get to that step then?
And what about the other documents that I can send online?
