so, IV unit reviewing is just another way of telling me still in AP? but does it at least tell me that it was not with another agency waiting for them to finish?

Have you heard anything about your case status?

what do you mean by "normal administrative processing".. (weirdly enough, we have the same CEAC update dates on 09/30, 10/07, 10/08, 10/11 and 10/17.. )

Where can one see CEAC update dates?

I called today to ask for clarification on what they meant by their email. I was told that they mean my file is with the IV Unit and they are reviewing whatever information they have on me and once they are done with the review they will give the file back to the Consular Officer for final decision. I asked, if they can tell me if they are still waiting for anything else, answer is I will be told if there is anything else they need from me. I asked, will they let me know when they send my file to an outside agency like DHS or FBI, answer is Yes, they will notify.

I have received any other notification from USEM since the AP letter sent to me via 2Go on Sep 10. I guess I am waiting some more. 😔

I initiated petition case for my husband in March 2018, He had his visa interview on 08/05/2019, was told he got approved and to wait for his passport to be returned to him in about 3 weeks, it’s been over two months now and he hasn’t received his passport, his case in the CEAC page shows ready for interview and it shows it has been updated several times, 09/30, 10/07, 10/08, 10/11 and 10/17, the embassy is only saying we have to wait and aren’t explaining what this means.

We had a baby girl in May 2019 and he hasn’t been able to meet her. This wait is the worst..

Anyone experience something similar?

hello Milagro!

well Im petitioning for my husband in nicaragua as well we just got the documentarily qualified email. I didnt experience this, but I have a friend whos wife had the interview Aug 9th 2019. I believe the petition was placed in administrative process. No reason was given. His wife and children didnt get their passport stamps and physical visas until the end of september 2019.

Mine is the same thing, my husbands interview was September 25th told he’ll get his visa in 2-4 weeks. It’s been 4 weeks and the status still says Ready. Let’s keep each other updated. Good luck! Hopefully status change to issued soon.

In which US embassy did you go to?

your file says your filing an AOS. This is for consular processing.

Hi.. @RonaldandMiracle I’m in the same situation my interview was in Nicaragua on 08/05/2019 the CO told me I was approved but i only need my marriage certification from Consejo Supremo.
I sent it the next day by cargo trans, like He told me and I also sent it by email to the embassy. I'm still in Ap and I haven't had any updates. :(

hello Meyling!

AP can take up to 60 days to review documents. Im surprised NVC didnt request your mariage certificate from central registrar. My husbands case got held up at NVC because we had submitted our marriage certificate from city hall not central registrar.

Please update your immigration timeline! we that are still waiting for interviews want to know whats the wait time for every step of the way!

God bless

I'm in Administrative processing as well since September 25th. Our case was updated on September 27th and 30th and October 21st. They only asked for my husband's W-2 for 2018 and said everything else was fine. 😟 why do they take this long just to check a one page document?

At which embassy did you interview?
