After 8 months of starting the k1 visa process, my fiance is finally moving to the US next week. We've been doing some research on the point of entry process in order to plan out what documents she will need to bring on her when she arrives at the custom's officer. We've read some testimonials from other people going through the process and most of them just said they just ask for the visa, passport and the sealed package.

My fiance is Italian and completed the k1 interview portion in the embassy of Napoli. At the end of the interview she was given a medical package that contained a few documents and a CD, this package was not sealed. She was told she would receive the sealed package in the mail along with her passport 2 weeks later and was told she could leave. Sure enough, 2 weeks later she received a DHL package with her passport and a large thick envelope that said do not open, that's it.

We are confused about the "visa" that is required to be brought along with her at entry. She never received a document that says visa or resembles a visa.

Is the visa inside of the sealed package? Are we missing a document?

The day of her interview she told me the embassy was swamped with people and her interview felt pretty rushed. Did they make a mistake and not hand her a visa that she needs?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
