Birth Certificate Changes Official?

Hello,

I had my fiance update her son's birth certificate, since both his middle name (which is actually her surname), and her last name, were misspelled on his birth certificate, as well as her first name.

I thought it was a good idea at the time. The process took months, only to find that they don't change the BC, just add a typed note along the edge that is signed by some sort of legal person.

Is this sufficient for the visa process? I'm worried that I'll have to get a new BC that will possibly take more months.

thanks!

That is all that is done .. it is officially annotated so all should be good.

FYI make sure to have a few extra copies to bring to the USA as you will need one from time to time.
