Hi

We sent the package on September 16 and we’re still waiting for any kind of response. The check has not been cashed, and since we filed with the help of a law office and they sent the package, we don’t have a mail tracking number, what should we do?

You need a tracking number,  USCIS cannot do anything without it

YMMV

I’m sorry, I don’t know how to reply directly to you.

I just requested the tracking number from the law firm. We decided to file with them to make things “easier” but it appears it is the opposite. The person filling our forms made a couple of mistakes and the time is taking to get a response makes us think there’s something wrong.

Do you think it’s taking too long?

It has taken up to a month but once you have the tracking information and it shows delivery date the send all the information you have about the package to:

lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov

They can then trace it

YMMV

if people in your filing month who filed after you have heard something and you're still waiting then don't sit on this too long. my friend who used a law office had major issues with them. Because the law office didn't file their paperwork, it was just sitting on their desk. It's your life in their hands. make sure you're on top of this!!

I got the tracking number and I sent an email with our names and address and the forms we submitted. We got a reply saying we’ll get an answer in the next 30 days.

My question is, what could be the reason why we’re not getting an answer yet? We know we’re going to need a joint sponsor, but we haven’t sent that form, could that be it?

thank you

Btw, can someone tell me how to directly reply to answers on here?
