Lets just stand around and say prayers, and everything will be better.

I love what Dave Cross had to say about prayer. He said he blames the Christians for Hurricane Katrina. Why? Because, obviously, they didn't pray hard enough! If they had only prayed harder, God would have directed the hurricane away from New Orleans, but since they didn't pray hard enough, it's all their fault.

hahahaha so true!!! :thumbs::yes:

In the US anyone can go and setup their own version of a Christian church and then act as if they represent the Christians of the world.

Hey, I don't agree with crazy people who have a delusional view of Christianity but why shouldn't they be aloud to speak??

Anyone can setup their own version of a Christian church......that's part of the problem.

Why shouldn't they be allowed to speak? Well they should, but I say keep God out of it. If you are not a preacher then stop preaching the word of God because I don't want to hear it. Those people have no authority to use Christianity to mouth off about their ill informed opinions. They're essentially slandering the name of Christianity and I'm tired of it.

People can believe what they want.....but Christians have patented bad PR with their actions. As a fellow Christian, I'm appaled at some of that behavior. That 1% is screwing up the reputation of all and it is our responsibility to close ranks and speak out against these people that mascarade as Christians to push their hatred laced agendas.

Christians should reject this form of protest from those who claim to be Christian.

I see anti-Christians are still alive and thriving here on VJ. Why did I think anything would be different? :rolleyes:

OK - blame everybody else for your arrogance. That's part of the Christian crisis today.

I am not anti-Christian. In fact, I come from a Christian family.

But I do hate being preached to. I also dislike people quoting me bible passages and explaining to me the story of Jesus. I went to Catholic school, thank you very much, and already know all of that. Quoting me passages from the bible is like quoting me passages of Lord of the Rings.

I think some Christians need to accept that many people just do NOT want to hear it. And as much as you might not like to hear this and think I'm intolerant or whatever- as soon as someone starts quoting bible passages to me, I pretty much stop listening to their views on anything.

Wow, you're sure sounding Christ-like, that's for sure. I have a feeling you're an atheist in disguise.

I'm passionate about fixing this problem Christianity is facing. I love and believe and get irate when I see it destroyed in front of my eyes by arrogant people who see their lives fit enough to cast stones. Slandering our faith's name for the passification of their own egos.

I'm not an Atheist but have no issue with them at all. My faith, my spirituality is a personal decision....and a decision I respect enough for others to make for themselves without throwing scripture in their face or telling them or implying that they are going to hell or are any less valued as a human being.

Call that what you will but that's what I believe. I also think that is consistant with the Christian faith.

I agree....people don't hate Christians just because they are Christian. Christians are hated because of how their message is distributed to the public and people outside of their faith. The whole self rightous thing is a barrier to effective communication. It becomes a persecution and accusation instead of a conversation. That's what people hate.
