I saw this after couple days it was moving slow is this a error cause it was 7.5 to 9.5 months with spouse of usc

Which service center’s timeline is this? Because the timelines varies according to the service centers

So my husband (USC) just contacted USCIS to find out where our case was as our date changed 1 May and people have reported that their case was transferred. 
 

The representative was so rude. Since filling in October we have only contacted them twice - and that’s because our dates changed. The first time after 23 Feb and now today. 
 

My husband was told that IOE means that the case it being serviced at Potomac. And that there is nothing to indicate we were assigned  Texas (when our NOA1 has Texas service centres) or that we had been transferred to Nebraska on 23 Feb. 

 

The representative also asked my husband kept contacting USCIS when we haven’t. Two small inquiries is not the same as calling every week like some people do. 

 

it’s getting really hard watching Jan 2020 people be approved and we are still waiting from October .... 

 

we have no idea where our case is and we can’t put in an inquiry about our case as it’s considered within normal time frame. 
 

ah - no wonder people go and do an AOS. At least they are with their spouse.

LPR in POTOMAC is already in Oct 2019. USC is august 2019.

Apparently IOE indicates we are at Potomac according to USCIS rep but our NOA1 states Texas.

 

So I really have no idea where we are.

I think the Rep was just being rude and what he says, definitly doesn't make sense. There are IOE approvals from all over the place. Vermont, California, Texas... (according to NOA2 that people posted), so IOE in my eyes does not indicate you're in Potomac. Either the case got transfered there for some reason, or it's still in Nebraska.

 

Since your NOA1 states Texas as SC, why don't you just submitt an out of normal processing times inquiry in 3 days? Might not help since you're now in Nebraska (supposedly) and you go by your new SC's timeline if you're transferred (according to USCIS website) but why not try? Texas' inquiry date is currently October 15th for USC, so you can submitt a request in 3 days! Worst thing that can happen is them telling you that you're still within normal processing times and not in Texas anymore. Best thing is you get a bit more information about your actual case status. I really hope that you don't have to be separated from your husband for much longer 😞 Take care!

Had my first date change on May 7 after December 26. Just wondering if anybody else experienced the same and how long it took to get approved after that?

We did that. It was the USCIS rep that said it means it is with Potomac.

 

by the sounds of it they don’t even know 🤷‍♀️
