Hey! Wanted to update you that we just got approved this morning! We received a text message that our status had changed and to check it. We are so happy! It came out of nowhere. We weren’t expecting to hear back until October-November!

*As a reference for others, we sent in our I-130 in October, 2019!*

Congrats. Wonderful news.

Was your application transferred from

Nebraska, what did the NOA2 say for office?

Did you get any date changes on your online portal leading to this?

I just downloaded the NOA2 notice from our online account and it says...

"The above petition has been approved. As the petitioner requests, we have sent the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909. The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action. It also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. The NVC will then forward the approved petition to that consulate. The NVC will contact the beneficiary of this petition with further information about immigrant visa processing steps. You should allow a minimum of 30 days for U.S. Department of State processing before contacting the NVC."

Can you please check the name of service centre. It’s in the bottom corner of your NOA 2

Oh wow, actually it says it's from California Service Center. So it looks like it did change from Nebraska and move over to California. We were never notified of this. Our priority date; however, has remained the same at 10/14/2019. We're still shocked and excited. I hope yours gets approved soon too just like ours!

So I have been following this for a long time now but never posted, I filed i130 for my wife and got a receipt date of October 19th. Got transferred from Texas to Califorbnia in February I think maybe March. Then got hit with an RFE on April 16th, sent the documents and photo they requested, they received it on April 24th. 5 days later and we have gotten our approval, finally the longest wait is over, gl guys
