I took 3 photos, they looked at one if them.

My husband is from the UK. We just included my boarding pass from my last trip to the UK and a receipt from a hotel we stayed at the day I arrived. They didn't ask for anything extra at the interview either. Just if he knew where I lived and how old I was. You really don't need to overthink it for London.

No details are required.  We went through a similar consulate to London, and had as many visits as you did, over a period of several years.  We really only wrote down the dates in the space provided for Q 54 (I think?), and included copies of the corresponding passport stamps.  Thats it.  No "story of how we met," snapshots, "evidence of ongoing relationship," etc.   None of that is needed, or useful, for low fraud countries.

Adding things not required or requested at the petition stage just makes it take longer for them to adjudicate it.

This is pretty much what we did.

On the part that asks how you've met or when you met or what ever. I just had a paragraph saying we met online in 2010, met in person May 2013 and then just stated the subsequent times in order that he had came to visit and that was it.

Stop overthink - though I know I was too when I did my K1 visa way back when...

My evidence for meeting in person? I sentence specifying the time and place accompanied by copies of boarding passes and passport stamps. That's it. I took all sorts of additional evidence to the embassy - they looked at nothing. I doubt London is much different from Frankfurt - especially if you are a caucasian brit without additional citizenships/ties to countries the US is not fond of.

Good luck!

Quality is what they are looking for, not quantity.

At this stage you only have to prove that you've met at least once during the preceeding 2 years. We documented 2 or 3 meetings just to be safe (we'd both traveled to see each other).

For each trip we had a sheet of paper with dates of travel, images of boarding passes, passport stamps, i94, any other useful evidence (eg tickets to an attraction and then photo of us together at the attraction). USCIS officers are most probably like everyone else - they want an easy life. They don't want to wade through pages of irrelevance, just give them a few pages of good high quality proof that you fulfill the requirements.

Me and my Fiancee have been dating for 5 years and just got engaged last week. Safe to say we have a lot of evidence of our relationship.

For our evidence of in-person meeting what created a word document containing details from each visit we've both taken between the UK and US to see each other since our relationship began containing photos, boarding passes, passport scans. Currently the document is 2000+ words and 20+ pages and I haven't put in the evidence for 2018 or 2019 yet.

My question is have I gone overboard? I'm aware this level of detail is probably unnecessary but will it be a negative to our application?

Cheers all!

For the initial K-1 application, you're only required to write a short story of how you and your fiance actually met.  As far as evidence, a couple pages of airline tickets, hotel receipts, passport stamps, and anything else proving you both were in the same country together will suffice.  For usbmitting pictures, only a few will be fine.  I originally was going to submit 20 pages of pics, but realized it was kind of overkill, so I submitted only 10 pictures.  For proof of ongoing relationship, that will be needed at the interview, if they even ask for it.

Not K1,  we're CR1 but we included an insane amount of evidence since we've been together for 7 years. Emails, monthly snippets of chats from whatsapp, facebook, skype, videocall screenshots, pictures, boarding passes, little gifts... everything under the sun basically.

I agree with some of the posters here saying you don't actually need as much, just GOOD evidence like pictures and proof that you've seen each other and a brief relationship timeline. That being said we got approved fairly fast, we did get an RFE but completely unrelated to our relationship bonafide evidence (an issue with birth certificate).

I guess what I'm saying is, you don't need as much as long as it quality proof of your relationship,  but I'm one of those people that went overboard and got an approval anyway.

The i130 had a bonafide relationship requirement that doesn't exist in the i129f.  Apples and oranges

They are not being that slow right now though - 5 months-ish? Pretty good. Back in my K1 days a lot of people waited almost a year for NOA-2. I was lucky and got out in about 5 months. I know how much it sucks with the waiting - but better get use to it K1 sets you up for a whole lot of waiting. Getting the green card stateside can take 1-2 years. After that adjustment of status is another 1-2 year waiting process. Knowing what I know now I would have done a CR-1.
