I think I'm in the same boat as you. I've made a documentation of our entire relationship (2014 to now) that's 20+ pages and 2000+ words (including photos, boarding passes, hotel reservations). Is this too much?

It is wayyyyyyy too much.

You need to prove that you met within past 2 years. So focus on that. You can write in brief on your "how we met" paper. I did. Mine came out full A4 page with whole summary of our history since meeting. Just general stuff. When you met, what did you do (NOT TOO MUCH DETAIL), when she/he left. Add 5-7 pictures, boarding passes and anything that ties you two together in one place. I.E. two tickets to museum, that you've taken pictures in, add boarding pass, and receipts. Do that for couple meets and you should be good.

To address OP, write with a pencil on the back of the picture something in the nature of

Date of picture, who's in the picture, where the picture was taken, and occasion (Christmas, thanksgiving, new year etc).

10 pictures is more than enough. Add ticket receipts, passport stamps, hotel receipts etc.

I'm not sure how strict USCIS with preliminary "approval" depending on countries. I know Lithuania is very easy, so i didn't front load THAT much. I had my then fiance to have extra pictures and receipts for the interview, but they never bothered to look at them. In fact, they said that most of the time, they can see right of the bat whether the relationship is bona fide or not. (My wife worked in a restaurant an occasionally she'd come across Officers from Embassy).

Ok, so what evidence did you send in to prove you have met in the last 2 years if you don't mind me asking

Airline tickets, copies of passport stamps, hotel receipts.  Things of that nature.  Also, for pictures, you don't need an abundance of them, meaning you don't have to go "overboard" and send like 100 or so.  As I mentioned Earlier, I only sent 10 pics of my then fiance and I.

I have never heard of an RFE for photos, since they are not a requirement for the I-129F petition.

Either had we, because it wasn’t a requirement, we didn’t send them. The officer who was reviewing our case waiting further evidence we were together when we said we were, hence the photos. We have wondering if they lost some of our I-129f form, along with the photos requested we resent everything we had sent with the original I-129f and were approved just over a week later

If they’re anything like us, they likely found rapidvisa before they found this site.. yeah a little waste of money, but on the up side, you can dump them after initial submission and use their pre-filled forms at NVC like I am, makes it a little less intimidating I guess, the formatting etc is the same, so becomes more of a copy past thing

You are absolutely correct. In a overwhelmed state I got in touch with rapidvisa they actually made things more difficult to degree for example, the visa route we are going does not require addresses from the age of 16 just the last 5, so I panicked after telling them i am from a military family and dates are going to be incorrect as some houses i lived in for 5/6 weeks to find that i only needed the last 5 years which I would know perfecrly. It is unnecessary worry as i think they go off a generic questionnaire
