it would be so much better and easier if they done told us before logging in and entering the CAPTCHA code that the site is still down!! Take the login page down too - Haha - But that would be too generous. I got an email earlier on today saying there is an update on my case and to log in but i cant lol....

Sorry i just read my message. it did not make sense to even me. I mean it would be so much easier if they just told us that the site was still closed prior to signing in....

Yeah that is for everyone...it lets you sign it and you think oh great then try to use any part of the site with the upload part...it then tells us no!!!!

We apologize for the inconvenience. CEAC is undergoing maintenance affecting some of its functions. Please check back again later.

Well they are finally opening up to people moaning on twitter but they are very detailed (far from the truth)

how many days you think it can take for it to come back online? any ideas?

Got this information from Boundless this morning:

"Apparently the new rule is "taking effect" today but it won't and cannot be implemented until a new form is approved. Therefore the process will continue as usual until a new form in released. Although we don't have an exact estimate as to when this form will emerge, it is unlikely to occur in the next two weeks."

I'm trying to stay Zen about all this, I just wanna submit my application. I hate all this waiting

This is from an email from Boundless.

"We received word that the DHS is changing their guidelines starting tomorrow. They have frozen the website so people are unable to submit things online. We are waiting to see what they change before moving forward.

We are hoping the courts also strike down whatever they implement since this was struck down for cases within the USA."

DHS is not involved with CEAC -- it is Department of State.

I just tried CEAC and still can't upload anything. I finally called the NVC last Friday evening, and after being on hold for ninety minutes was told "the IT team is working on it night and day". I don't know about anyone else, but if my employer's systems were down for a week or more, whole departments would be getting fired...
