K2 visa expiration (K2 to follow)

I know that K2 visa has 1 year validity from the time the K1 visa is approved.

 

Let's say the k2 (to follow) applies for a visa 4 months before it expires, how long is the expiration of the actual K2 visa? (This is the visa given after the interview at the consul)

The visa expires 6 months after the medical. So if you have your medical a month before your visa is issued, the visa will be valid for 5 months

The K-2 to follow is limited to one year from date of ISSUANCE of the K-1 (date on the visa)  .. K-2 visa must be issued BEFORE the issuance date of the K-1.

 

K-2 visa will be valid up to 6 months from the date of the medical, same as when your "then fiancee" did the K-1.
