Contact with congressman

Well I just got a response back from my congressman stating they had contacted uscis for the 2nd time and would keep me updated with any info they receive. Almost 6 months is testing my patience which was in short supply to start with severely. To anyone out there praying I would appreciate you remembering Cara and Mohammed!!!!

i wouldnt wait for an update from your congressman. I dont know what timeframe the uscis is processing the petitions but if you are way over the processing times, chances are your petition has been selected for "additional administrative review"which means it goes to the blackhole! I hope that not happens for you. I wish you get an approval soon!!

I would def keep at it through your congress person. Someone I work with had difficulty getting his wife's passport back (she was changing her maiden name) and he said his congressman's office called him every other day with an update.

So granted, I know it isnt the exactly the same thing/agency - but he was very impressed how seriously the congressman took the matter.
