Can anyone recommend a good/free program to help reduce the size of my pictures? I have been trying to download our pictures onto the site and always get the same message: that the size of the pictures are to large. I have never ran into this before. Any suggestions :blink

I AM NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS EXACTLY

IF YOU HAVE THE ACUTAL PICTURES

JUST GO AND SCAN LIKE 3 OR 4 ON A SHEET

AND LABEL THE PICS AND SEND THOSE

OR YOU CAN JUST PRINT ONE PIC TO A PAGE AND THEN CUT IT

I DID THAT AND SENT THAT

If you are using Windows on you computer you can simply use the Paint program. You'll want to make a copy of you picture first so you don't permanently change the size of the original. Open Paint and load your picture. Click on "Image" in the menu and then click on "Stretch and Skew". In the "Stretch" window change the horizontal and vertical from 100% to 50% (or any other value you want). 50% will make the picture half as wide and half as tall making a smaller picture that will only use 1/4 to 1/3 the memory. Save the file.

Windows XP should have Paint.

Look for it under Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Paint. You may have to click the chevrons on the Accessories menu to see all the options.

Alternately, go to Start --> Run and type "mspaint.exe" in the box, then click "OK".

I'm also using Windows XP (Home Addition). I just checked this out and reduced a picture to make sure I'm not giving you a bum steer and everything worked fine. Click on "Start" and then go to the "Programs" menu. Look for the "Accessories" menu. If you haven't used anything in the "Accessories" menu for awhile it may not show up unless you hold the cursor over the two down arrows at the bottom of the "Programs" menu. That should open up all the sub folders. The "Paint" program appears in the "Accessories" folder. Click on "Paint" to open the program. From there on I think it's pretty much self explanatory. Click on "File" then "Open" to load your picture and do what I wrote previously.
