So I emailed NVC and they said they forwarded my visa petition to the US Embassy or Consulate on Aug. 20 2019.  Isn't the NVC supposed to send me a letter with a MNL number??  Just wondering.

When you emailed NVC did you follow the format for requesting your case file # (MNL#)  ?      If you emailed a request and your case file has shipped they should reply to your email, only exception may be if they mailed your letter already.   If it was mailed you should have it within a week

https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

Subject line:  USCIS {Receipt number from your I-797 Notice of Action (NOA)}

Body of email:   "Requesting case file number"   (plus include below required information)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:
(You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response):

* USCIS Receipt Number from your NOA-2  (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).
* Petitioner's name and date of birth.
* Beneficiary's name and date of birth.

Either way, your fiancee will need a copy of this email/letter so she can print out a couple copies for St. Luke's .. .once you receive either one, email a copy.

Here is a guide for the process once your have your MNL# and your case file is at the embassy.

No.  The process is different for immigrant visas

https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

For IR/CR-1, immigrant visas the process is more involved at NVC, you will complete the Affidavit of Support process before the case file will be sent to USEM, Manila.   You will also pay the visa fee at NVC.

Here is a link with details:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center.html

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/PDF-other/Uploading%20to%20CEAC-instrucions.pdf

Immigrant visa:  1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time) . For the shortest wait time, begin calling for the NVC Agent at 7:05 am EST M-F.

TAX TRANSCRIPTS:

Certified tax transcripts may be ordered by using Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 4506-T available at www.irs.gov or
calling 1-800-829-1040.

Mine took just under 2 months to get from Nebraska to NVC. They will email you once they receive it and you are able to submit the required paymen and documents as well as fill out the application.

As soon as you get the email lohg in and make payment as that will take several days to clear. Once that is done you can fill out the app and submit docs.

Things you can do to prepare:

Make sure you have a digital copy of passport photo of applicant.

Request your tax transcript online.

Have your spouse get her NBI certificate and scan you a copy.

Scan your w-2 form

I also scanned my last 2 pay stubs.

Focus on the things above because that will save you time. You will get your email from NVC soon enough and you can't rush it by contacting them.

Hi, thank you for the heads up!

For the application, is it submitted online too? Ill be needing a joint sponsor which would be one of my parents. They filed taxes jointly. Do I need one of them to do i864A? For my wifes passport scan copy, is it just the side by side page with her picture? I heard she still need 3x passport style pictures?

For documents, I have the following:

Tax transcripts for 2016,17 and 18.

Tax Transcripts for parents.

My own W2 form from 2018.

NBI clearance for wife.

Everything gets uploaded in the CEAC website. The I-864 needs to be printed, then signed, then scanned so you can upload it. The DS-260 is filled out online. All other items are uploaded as well. So make sure you have digital copies of all items. All files uploaded need to be under 2MB each.

I am not familiar with the joint sponsor as I did mine on my own

Yes to the I-864a for one of your parents (being they filed jointly/live together)

RO_AH answered the other questions.     And I gave you a link to the complete process for NVC in an earlier posting.

@Hank_ Hi again Hank! I'm currently filing the I864 form. I'm confused on Part 5 for Household size members. Me and one of my parents will do I864, and the other will do I864A as indicated above. It seems like my form for this part of the question will be slightly different to the other I864.  My wife will be the only one being sponsored (1). Persons not being sponsored which is myself, and both parents (3).  How would I total this up to 4 people?

You don't total it up to 4 people.  For your I-864 there is you and your wife, that is two people.   For your parent's I-864/864a there are three; your wife and both your parents
