K-1 AOS Process - No Receipt Info

I've entered the US and begun the AOS process, filing the petition with the Chicago lockbox PO Box, but it's been over 15 days without a response from the lockbox, an e-notification, or payment being taken from my credit card. I contacted the USCIS Support Center but they can't find any information on my case and said I needed to email the Lockbox Support email which I've now done. However, their automated response email says that a reply from them can take up to 30 business days, of which I only have 35 before my K-1 visa admission period expires.

 

Is there anything I can or should do to avoid any issues? Since the petition was sent via USPS tracked and was signed for by someone, is this USCIS' fault?

When you entered the US ,  your K1 expired 

AOS can happen any time after but it is best to do it ASAP

Did you keep copies of the paperwork and a receipt of mailing ?

The lockbox is backlogged. Wait at least 15 more days.

What I meant is the end of the 90 day period of admission will expire then.

 

I do have copies of the paperwork and the USPS mailing receipt.

Took 21 days for my payment to process, then next day got all the case numbers via text and email, hard copies about 5 days later.

As an update, I've called USCIS and been told that my filing was rejected as my A number is incorrect, and that the one printed in my visa is typographically incorrect. I've been told I need to go to a USCIS field office to get it corrected.

No, the A number there is different! Never thought to check the I-797 again, I'm going to see if I can re-file under that quickly. You're a life-saver!

USCIS have now confirmed the A Number on the I-797 is correct and there's been a typographical error on my visa, and that the incorrect A Number was the reason for the delay and rejection. I'm going to re-file tomorrow

Was it in the "Annotation" section of the visa?

Yeah, the A Number in the annotation section is 8 digits, but the A Number on the I-797 is 9 digits.

Wow. Was it missing just 1 digit or was it completely different?

 

I assume they didn't charge your credit card for the I-485 fee.
