Right, but sounds like OP is trying to sponsor all 23.  I just don't see that happening.

Read carefully the thread, first of all it's not 23, its 20, 23 including myself, my wife and my daughter are here is in US staying for 25 years.. and petitioner is not one person,;on top, please don't don't generalized, and don't tell me, "don't see that happening" and no one has 4 or 5 siblings. For saying that, there 3-4 children is common in your fathers' generation. And also counting their children 2 each, I think, it is simple math and very common. People are giving all their own idea, with out research or experience, saying Bangladeshi, Indian Nigerian or so on, are you guys here to HELP or characterized people's situation..

And I have applied all my wife and my sibling, cause I CAN AFFORD.

One of the proposals was to can everyone in the queue with longer than a year to go. Anyway I don't think that will be your problem so much as the new public charge rule. Will help if the adults all have a good work history that they can use to work in the US too. 3 kids over 18, ouch, that's gonna be a pretty penny in college fees. For most states they won't get instate tuition anywhere for a year after they have moved over.

Thank you for Positive Response! Appreciate you very much!

I’d imagine your incomes would have to be quite a lot... my mind boggles at how you’ll afford to support all these people... health insurance alone will be crazy high... not to mention where will they all sleep? Best of luck with this, I’ve no idea how I’d cope in this situation

Thank you for your concern, for your worry-"not to mention where will they all sleep"-  I am thinking to ask your favor, if I can let some of my family members sleep in your house? please advise.

I believe if I have calculated correctly, on the current basis you need $137162 income. (To be very sure of not being a public charge you need 250% of poverty guideline which is double this number so around $275k.) Will presumably be higher in a couple of years. Assets need to be 5x the difference between actual and required income to make up any shortfall. (So if you are $50k short you will need $250k assets, read the i864 instructions for which assets can be used and which can't.)

If any of those 20 people either don't work or won't work once they get to the US, especially if they are retired, it could be more problematic.

Thank you for advise, I think I will be fine as your above calculation!

May want to revisit the VJ TOS regarding telling people not to post/what they can post.

Wouldn't it make more sense to move 3 people back to where you are from, then 20 people to the US if the purpose is "family reunification". The chance of this working is slim and only going to get slimmer if not none based on the current administrations position, especially with this visa category. Also the minimum requirements are only minimums to be considered. The CO has the final authority to determine if there is risk of a public charge. Seems highly unlikely a CO would approve this

Hi All, me and my wife are Petitioner for F4 Category Visa for my brothers and sister-in-laws. Currently, we are 3 in our household and we are expecting 20 (bother/sister-in-law) family members will get a priority date in couple of year. Hence, we will have to have income shown for total of 23 individuals.

Please, advise me how much total household Income and Cash Balance/property do I have to show for to support all and not to have public charge denial. Thank you

For income its 250% of $109,730 annually, that will be around $275,000.

If you earn this amount annually, you are above minimum requirement to sponsor 23 people.

This amount will go higher when you have to fill out I-864.

You can also attach your assets if you do not meet this requirements.

Assuming your are a US citizen the calculation for asset requirements will be,

Your actual annual income - You required annual income (275,000) * 3 = Required asset

it can be your houses, cars, savings account, checking account, anything that you can liquidate within one year without affecting your financial stability.

So for example if you earn $100,000 a year.

100,000-275,000*3
175,000*3

525,000.

So in this case you will need $525,000 of asset.

Now the consular office will take many other things into consideration even if you meet this requirements given the number of people you will be providing for.

But you only asked for the amount of Cash and asset you need so i am going to stop here :)

The x3 requirement for assets only applies to IR categories, this would be x5. Detailed in the i864 instructions.

230k is not gonna be sufficient at all, especially with the new rule in place.

500k sounds about right, depending on location. NYC, LA - doubt even 500k would do. Somewhere in Carolinas, or Mississippi, maybe.

Now, take into considerations insurance costs. Assuming none of them could work immediately upon moving, and insurance is 500$ each (varies but just for the sakes of this, bear with me)

just 10k a month just on insurance costs, that makes it 100k on insurance costs, per year.

Unless you have a lot of cash, or have indeed massive income, i can see this sliding through. Otherwise, it would be tough to convince CO that you'll be able to fork over 100k on their health insurance, despite making more than minimal.

Plus on top of that, housing. Unless you have a 10 bed house, or 3-4 houses, again, will be tough in the view of CO.

I can see this working, but then there are so many variables, that it's hard for us to tell exactly. Knowing the country and state you're in could help a tad bit.

But besides that, best of luck. Keep us updated, im sure many will be interested in progress.
