Exactly. I have noted people here in this forum start giving illogical responses tbh. In your case, it will depend on where in USA you earn 90k? 90k in Manhattan is nothing but in Upstate NY is too much.

Yeah..this used to be helpful website. At least for me 5 years ago. My question is either yes or no. But I guess there is gray area about denied and approved. Which is totally fine. 90K in Michigan. Not detroit or grand rapids so yes, 90K is more than enough 😀

Response are not going to be black or white yet. Remember, this was just announced a week or so ago. Nobody here can even predict if it will actually be implemented (lawsuit are being filed now). So the best advice is to prepare for the worst just in case.

Also, this site has actually gotten better. There are more tools now than before. It is just that there also more changes happening with the administration that is affecting immigration. Things are not as clear as it used to be. Seems every other moth or so there is a change.

It is still helpful to those who are open to the realistic answers they receive.

the guidelines yes. But sometimes the answers are out of lines and my intention to get answers has been deflected to busy answering the comments that I think does not relate to my question 😄

Thank you. I get it that it is not black or white and I have to accept the fact that the chance is 50/50 for my mom. Which is again, totally fine. I try to follow the IR5 guidelines and it seems ok...I guess because I am not filling for K1 or CR1 I could not fine much information.

A humble question to all the philosophers on this site... How can you forecast 20-25 years in advance? Do you use any special binoculars?

I'm sorry it is like that sometimes. But this is a public forum. You are going to get many types of responses. As long as the response do not break any TOS. Some or more opinionated than helpful. But you have to take it as it is. It is still better than other free resources for investigating immigration.

You asked "Could anyone reasure me that I do not have to be worried based on my income and situations?"..........I think the consensus is no......we see concerns.  However, the CO will make a decision based on the ENTIRE situation.

I am sorry that I am not giving you the response you would like to hear. Giving you an objective assessment of your situation is exactly what you should expect from an IO, and yes, to them, the amount of money you make matters a lot. When I recommended better planning, I meant it in the sense that you have to show them the numbers. How much would your mother's health insurance cost? How does that fit into your budget? Perhaps wait until your income is better? There is a concern about public charge that you need to address and we need to be practical about it.

I do not know if you realize that the CO sometimes (I would say most of the time) do not look at the document that the beneficiary bring to the interview. How could she prove she has all of the assets??? This happen a lot, especially with B1/B2 visa. Some people just get approved and people with proof get denied and no appealing process.

I think no one should ask here their chances. No one here is a CO. Also, for those who advise, they should back up their opinions by giving examples , instead of just telling whats in their mind

One thing you could do at this point is have your mom take a complete medical exam

understand if she faces any known medical issues already

I had Adil take one before marrying as TB,  diabeties, and other illnesses are common in his country

i want to bring his mom who is a diabetic and found the following  online notice:

Insulin cost is a big reason the average annual per-patient spending on treatment for type 1 diabetes increased from $12,467 in 2012 to $18,494 in 2016.

I think this is he kind of thing that makes us all think twice

I do realize because I used to work as a visa analyst back home and I was trained by the government as to how deal with all information and documents provided. What questions to ask and what assumptions to make.

When filling the DS160, the applicant already reveals plenty of information about themselves. What they do in their home country, the people they need to support, who will be paying for their trip, relatives living in the US and their occupation. What kind of document is required at the interview is at the discretion of each officer. Add to it the fact that the legitimacy of papers shown at the interview needs to be verified and that takes time.

Either way, I wish you luck in your immigration journey. No one can tell you for sure what the outcome of your application will be but hopefully we have pointed out concerns that you can now address and cover so that when the time comes, the IO will be satisfied and grant your mother her visa.
