My wife and I are awaiting to hear about our interview for the green card and we understand this takes time. She had her biometrics in July and some of our friends who had their biometrics after ours already has an interview scheduled. Since we are in the process of obtaining a green card, who can we call to check on our status ?

Thank you in advance.

It all depends on the field office where you will be interviewing. Some field offices are slower than others. If you know what field office you will be interviewing you can check on the processing time at https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/. I know that it's not fun but its pretty much a waiting game until they schedule your interview.

Have you received the "ready to be scheduled for an interview" notification? You will receive this first. Then you will receive the "scheduled for interview" notification. The interval between the two could be a week or several months.

Finally done...

Your NOA2 date is exactly the same as ours. We received our "ready to schedule for interview" on September 11 and our "scheduled for interview on September 17". The interview is October 31. But, our local office is St. Louis and it seems to be moving quickly.

Finally done...

Another factor to keep in mind is that the assignment of biometrics appointments is done by the Application Support Center (ASC) scheduling minions in Alexandria, VA. There may not be any current openings at your Local Field Office as determined by the ASC.

Sometimes it is just hurry up and wait...

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I have a question and hoping we can get some help from you all.

My wife had her biometrics on July 22, 2019 and we have not heard anything since then except it is in Missouri now. We have made several phone calls and all they are telling us is it is pending, no issues. We have noticed on VJ many had their biometrics as late as December 2019 and they already have a interview date. What can we do to get some answers, if any ?

Thank you so much

Nothing

The AOS interviews are  held by the local office. There are offices with little/less immigrants or better processes and there are offices where it takes for a long time.

You can check your status using your receipt number. Probably it says "ready to schedule interview". Now you have to wait to get the interview.

There are locations where it takes 3 months, other locations up to 2 years....

I hope you filed for EAD and AP so at least you could work to pass the time.

I don't know anybody form Cincinnati so have to go what uscis says. It's between 9.5 to 24 months to get an interview there. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Cincinnati's overall stats look very compatible with St. Louis (which moves quicker than most). I am surprised you haven't heard anything yet.

Finally done...

A couple of days ago we  posted on VJ my concern about our AOS. I called the number again on USCIS, which we do almost on a daily basis to check our status. When we entered the receipt number the recording said they could not give us a status on this receipt number. Does anyone have any ideas what this means. We are really getting concerned.

Thank you so much
