Hi,

Just a quick question, are there any stats on how many people get rejected at the interview stage? My fiancee has decided to freak out at the last minute, 4 days before my interview, and I think she's worried I'll get rejected. On a recent trip to america I got secondary checked, and even that guy referred to my 'approved visa', so personally I wasn't panicing. I have the financial sponsorship requirements met, so I don't see any major problems looming.

So my question is, has anyone had problems at this stage, is it a terribly intensive grilling? I heard it's not so bad, just to ensure you're not obviously out to defraud them.

No, as long as the paperwork submitted for the K-Visa was neat and in order, you should be fine. My Yu passed through her interview with only a few easy questions, and the consulate in China is known to be very hard nosed.

UK is a breeze compared to other consulates in areas known for high visa fraud.

So don't sweat it. Relax!

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I read somewhere in the UK forums that only one person has reported a denial from London on here, and it was because one of them wasn't divorced or something like that.

Aha - found the post... HERE

There are quite a few reviews on interviews there as well - tell her to give them a read. Seem to be generally painless.

EDIT: Also check the London Embassy reviews out HERE

GOOD LUCK!!

It's understandable to start worrying when the finish line is in sight. But you've already passed through SO many levels of checking up on the relationship and the legalities, you are in good shape. Have her read all the reviews of the London Embassy to see that things aren't so bad there.

If you even visited during the pendancy of your K1 visa and got through even after a secondary check, then I think you've already made it through a process where you were much more likely to be denied (entry).

Almost done! Best of luck.

p.s. can you fill in the rest of your timeline too? when you received packet 4, etc? we UKers love our stats! so does everyone here :)
