Good morning,

I just left the USCIS building in DTLA. I just want to share this with you all.

I become a permanent resident at the age of 21,   on 04/16/2014

I submitted my N400 form on 01/16/2019

Biometrics on                             02/15/2019

Notice of interview on               08/31/2019

Interview and approval on        10/07/2019

I am still waiting to be notified when I am doing the Oath of Allegiance.

My appointment was at 6:45 am. There was a long line on the entrance of the building. I arrived to the customer service module on the 6th floor around 7:00. I noticed that the USCIS officer was waiting for me already. He asked for my name and told me to follow him. I did so, and we started with the questions. For some reason, his computer was not working or loading things properly so we started with the civic and history questions right away. He did not even tell me that I had passed that part and we moved to the reading test , which was "Who can vote". Once that was completed, we asked me to write on the tablet the following sentence: :"Citizens can vote".

He asked me some personal questions and everything went smoothly. The only issue, as far as I was concerned, was the computer, because it was not loading properly. I handed my Selective service enrollment paper to him since I am a male between the ages of 18-26. The computer ended loading all the documents he had scanned.

Once that was done, he gave me a paper with the approval notice.

I hope this could help other readers as it did once to me.

Thank you.

Congratulations, have you done your Oath Ceremony as well? If not, have you received any notice? Thanks.

I'm in LA too, and had my interview on 10/28, it was approved on 11/1, but still waiting for the letter with date/time to attend the Oath Ceremony.
