How to enter on a K-1 Visa?

Hi all,

 

My fiancé just got her K-1 Visa, we are wondering how she flies to the US when she needs to show her passport at the ticketing office? I know customs is supposed to open the package with her visa information so I’m not sure how it would work.

She just shows her passport at ticketing.  Since it is Canada, if she is at a preclearance location, CBP will take the packet and tell her welcome to the USA.  Arrive 3 to 4 hours extra because she might spend some time awaiting her packet being accepted.

 

The VIsa in in the passport.  Not in the packet.

She doesn’t physically have her passport since the embassy took it and sent her the envelope of everything and she’s not supposed to open it so how does she show her passport?

She was given a large grey package. It states in the pink sheet that there’s an additional envelope in it... but I’m not sure

There is an envelope inside the envelope.  If the only envelope she has says do not open then she needs to call the consulate   We opened it and got the passport and the packet out.

No it’s just a shipping envelope and she’s stressed to open it, it doesn’t say do not open on the package. I told her to open it and there should be her passport and the do not open envelope

God I hate this whole process lol. We figured out why the people on the show are always fighting and it’s because of this process

Same here.  The inner envelope said “do not open”, the passport was inside the first envelope.

Do not open is for the shipper, not the recipient.

The shipping envelope definitely needs to be opened LOL

I was meaning the fact that the process is a pain in the #######, that and some of them haven’t even been together for 2 years and have so many other issues
