In April, apparently I was fortunate to receive very short approval for 129F (~3wks). In fact, after investigation last week, it actually was approved sooner than the transfer notification was able to be sent through the system.

Now the tough part - confirmed with the NVC last week as part of the troubleshooting that they have not received the paperwork. We are going on 55 days. I was informed that it "can" take 90days. However, it does not appear that others are experiencing this same time lag.

What are others thoughts and suggestions?

It is also frustrating that the I130 is quickly approaching the 4month time frame.

Appreciate the feedback.

I am also curious why the wait time from CSC to NVC. My I-129F was approved 3 weeks ago and NVC still hasnt received mine. I thought the petition was simply being mailed from CSC to NVC. I know the US post service can be slow, but this is absurd. When I send correspondence via mail it rarely takes more than a week. If anyone can shed some insight on the process (how its sent, how its received, etc.) please enlighten us.

it usually takes 7-10 days from CSC to NVC.

As for ours, it took 8 days for NVC to receive our hardcopy. And two days later, it left for the embassy.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well.. got to say... i wasnt very pleased with what Thunderloki said about waiting 90 days for the damn nvc to process and send our case...

i´ve been waiting for 30 days already and no sign of my case at the nvc, sent 5 (yes, FIVE) emails and all answers were no, your case hasnt been received at the nvc. Tried calling the 603 number and the same, no record of it.

What the hell is going on with the NVC???

I really wished someone could at least explain why its taking so long!!!

I know other 2 brazilian girls who have been waiting for more than 25 days now and nothing yet...

=(((((((( makes me sad..

Thunderloki,

The hair just stood up on the back of my neck when I read your post. We have experienced the exact same thing at exactly the same time as strange as it is... My I129F NOA2 was issued on 4/11/2007 a few short weeks after I submitted and actually only 4 processing days after CSC received the transfer. NVC verified on 5/31 that they still had not received it. I spoke to an immigration officer in our local Chicago office who advised me to write a letter to CSC which I did. The letter was returned 8 days later with a cover page indicating that CSC does not accept correspondence (after they stamped it "No Funds" of course). It did however, highlight the "Expedite Request" process which I have chosen to follow under the "USCIS Error" criteria. The error being that the NOA2 indicates that the petition was "sent" as in past tense to NVC. The CSC then registered a touch on 4/27 - 16 days after they indicated they "sent" it to NVC. Clearly, they did not send it at all. I am wondering if we also share the same touch pattern. When was your last touch on you I129F? What is the country of origin if you don't mind my asking? It seems a bit uncanny that such an odd chain of events - ultra-short approval followed by failure to forward and complete inactivity - should occur on two petitions on the same dates.

The country of origin Philippines. My I130 has not been touched since 2/22 and my I129F has not been touched since 4/28. I did receive confirmation that the I129F has been approved by level 2 support in the CSC. Level1 apparently does not have visibility to previous information. I was told that they could not(would not) do anything until the 90days had pass.

The difference I do see is that by notification on the website on 4/28 states that it was transferred to CSC. This confused everyone and level2 CSC said - you are approved, the disconnect is timing of the systems. Sounds different since you received notification that it was transferred to NVC. I have not received any formal or informal indication that it was sent to the NVC.

Ideas or suggestions? Waiting until July 11th is not much longer at this point. However, gut tells me that I will find out that it is lost or something.

Regards,

I-130
