You’re welcome! By the way, another tip (in case if you don’t know yet) there is an app called case tracker and it lets you search other cases so you can see how it is moving for other people, it lets you see up to 500 receipt numbers, I’m attaching this picture so you can see, so just play with it, I look at it once a day and search different numbers and I can see how it is going for everyone else.

Kinda funny you mention this app becuz this is what prompted me to ask about the EAD question to begin with!!! I feel it’s a very useful app and I’m a little addicted to it ... lol. I’m always checking cases to get a feel of where I stand or if I’m close to getting approved. I saw many approved EAD’s around my number so thought I’d ask. Thanks for sharing this information!

Wow! All these recent EAD approvals I think make me and everyone else super excited! (granted, can't be too excited as people like us who received a RFE will probably see a longer wait 😅) but regardless it's good to know that things are moving along and everyone's turn will eventually come along sooner rather than later :)

Hello everyone! I just received the update “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” after receiving a RFIE on Dec 10 for my birth certificate. They received the response on Dec 28, so it took less then 3 weeks for Uscis to review and approve the case. I wish for all of you out there who got RFEs a quick resolution of this inconvenience and that you can get quickly your ead or interviews!

Oh that’s great! We have pretty similar timeline of the RFE! Hopefully I hear the update soon from them!
Congrats! 😍

Hello

The case numbers listed above are interesting. According to a few websites, these numbers have internal structure and a specific format

https://citizenpath.com/uscis-receipt-number-explained/

The first three letters for the EAD here are typically MSC for Missouri service center (Lee’s summit NBC).

The next two digits are the fiscal year i.e. 20 for 2020 for us which makes sense.

according to these sites the next 3 digits are supposed to be the “computer workday of the year”. By definition you would expect that to be less than 365 and, since it excludes holidays, less than 300. However the cases listed above have “workday” numbers beginning with “902” (ours is 900 and unlike those cases we haven’t received the EAD). I wonder if USCIS has switched to a new format for the “work day”, anyone know the details?

best of luck to all!

I’m very confused. I received a RFE two months ago and replied and RFE was received. Then my case have changed to “ready to be scheduled for an interview”....and now I received another RFE. Both were for 485. Is that common? What could it be?

Doesn't seem common, but every case is different, of course. Have you received the second RFE in the mail yet?

That's great! Now, depending on which local USCIS office your case is assigned, you may hear from them in the next few weeks or months once your interview is scheduled.

I got an update on Dec 20th that our case was ready to be scheduled and got the inteview was scheduled on Jan 6th. Interview is on Feb 18th. Local USCIS is Columbus,Ohio.
