@Moana&medo was just asking a valid question like everyone else does here like you said. Most of us want to find a job as soon as we can due to some financial challenges we face. However correct me if I am wrong,  it seems you are annoyed and impatient with your answer. If you feel that way, feel free to ignore such questions.

Again like you said, this is a platform where we help each other. We may not have all the answers that we are looking for here but hearing advice and encouragement is much more welcome.

Admin, feel free to delete my comment if it is not allowed here. Thanks.

Yes I do get annoyed when people are not patient. Look at USCIS data and see, it is 5.5 months to get an EAD. So why are people asking from the month of October if anyone has gotten an EAD while neglecting those who are waiting frim months of June, July, August , September and probably before that. So waiting is part of the requirement. If you are struggling financially then apply to get your AED expedited.

EAD approved yesterday and Permanent Residence approved today ❤️ Wishing you all luck and that it goes by quickly.

Congradulations!

Please keep the rest of us updated on how the EAD Card & Greencard arrival goes. It helps with timelines/expectations while we wait.

Personally, I'm curious:

(1) if your social securtiy # really does arrive by mail 10-14 days later? (2) Will both cards actually arrive or is the approval for both just a formality? (3) Please spill the beans on how your interview went!

I'm sure there is more important stuff to ask (obviously you don't have to respond). If you don't mind helping us anxious ones, that would awesome!

Don't forget to really CELEBRATE & ENJOY!! 🎉 🥂

Oh bummer! USCIS sent me a RFIE just today. Let's wait and see what it is for. The good thing is that they are looking at my case. I hope it's an easy fix!

I’m in the same boat! Got the RFE notification Monday, waiting for it to be mailed out... hopefully before end of week. Fingers crossed.

BECAUSE obviously those dates are NOT updated at all, it is called “approximation”, just because some people are waiting longer there is other that it is faster for them, it also varies the waiting timeline depending of local offices, or how delayed has been USCIS or if they have enough people to work on cases, it is completely valid what the person asked. If you do not have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. If it annoys you, ignore. And did you just see one person got approved on their EAD and the green card as well? Just yesterday and today? and they filed around the same time all of you did. We are here to help, not to be mean to others.

I am stating the facts. We are all waiting. No case is the same. Just because someone has been approved does not mean your case should be approved at the same time as well. No, only a few people help out here. The vast majority do not even have their timelines filled. Someone people are here to snoop around and get questions answered, but not willing to help others.

Well I’ll be more helpful than you were and I am telling this person that from what I have seen, NOT the uscis because like I said it isn’t accurate and updated, I have checked RECENT cases is that people USUALLY get approved within 110 to 120 days after USCIS received their cases. It may vary of course but a good amount of people are getting approved around those times.

Thank you very much! This is how helpful people respond! I personally never go by USCIS’s timelines because it does depend on each individual case, it’s just good to hear from people who are going through the same thing and give each other hope instead of discouraging others by always telling them to wait which we all obviously know. That’s expected when we apply for any type of visa. So thank you again for your kind response.

You’re welcome! By the way, another tip (in case if you don’t know yet) there is an app called case tracker and it lets you search other cases so you can see how it is moving for other people, it lets you see up to 500 receipt numbers, I’m attaching this picture so you can see, so just play with it, I look at it once a day and search different numbers and I can see how it is going for everyone else.

It's literally the app lets you do that. and the person did not post any sensitive/private information. It's just case number - anyone can enter any case number on USCIS case status and check.

I second this! And correct me if I were wrong coz I also use this app, even when you enter a case number in it,  personal info won't be revealed.

I’m actually super curious about all of these questions too so I’ll definitely come back to this and update you all. I’m wondering about if I’ll get both cards too since the EAD was approved the day Before my interview so it wasn’t like an automatic approval of everything at once. It even said ‘new card is being produced’ for EAD. I have a job offer so I’m hoping they actually send the SSN in a timely manor (I did check the box to have them send me one), we shall see! I’ll keep you all posted. I’ll post about my interview experience tomorrow. Thank you for your kind words 😊

Yeah there’s no way to identify who’s case it is. There’s no names or any personal information from just the case number. Anyone can type any case number into a case tracker, that’s why the USCIS doesn’t put names or any identifying features. Not much if anything you can do with just a number as obviously the government knows that people could try to commit fraud with just a number. Anytime you contact uscis about your case you have to provide more information to prove your identity than just a case number, in order to keep personal information safe.
