Thank you for your comment. Oh Okay... I’m checking my status daily but so scared.

Also check you mail, our status never changed to RFE  until now , but we still got one in the mail after I check the mail . It was sent on the 12/18 but I got it 10days later coz I was not checking the mail.

After all the waiting, one can just hope for the best. 🤞

Sure, we are al here hoping for the best, we must be realistic as well! There are people behind us waiting as well, but a lot of people just appear to be concerned about their own case. We can do better than just thinking about “me and my case”.  Eventually we will all get there to the finish line.

Thank you. On my initial application last year, we knew got RFE but mail was never delivered then requested but couldn’t answer before the due and got denied. So this is my second application so I’m really nervous and checking as much as possible.

It depends on why you are adjusting status. For example, my AOS is family based. In this case, all forms are reviewed first by the MSC (National Benefits Center). Then, once the initial review is done and after the fingerprints, the I-485 gets sent to your local field office. That's when you'll get the 'interview ready to be scheduled' update. You should search your USCIS field office by your zip code. The I-765 and the I-131 are processed at the National Benefits Center. I hope it is clear.

For those who are wondering: March 2020 - Oct 2020 is a reasonable time to expect EAD card, SSN (could be mailed, may have to be apply seperately), and some news on the i130. These are rough guestimations based on processing times, I remind myself of this on days I worry badly.

Barring RFIEs, RFE, and other spanners in the works there will be significant movement this year (ability to work, get credit, and not be a ghost/SSN). So count the little victories & try not to worry until October, or chill out once you've filed your taxes to be prudent--plus you can also file a tax extension that stretches till October so win-win.

I hope there are movements this year since I applied in 2019 lol. I am reading about many people not getting their EADs and jumping straight to green card.

Hello, I was just wondering what we are required to do regarding taxes. My husband wants to get his taxes filed asap so he can keep on top of it, but we're stuck as I don't have a TAX ID or SSN yet and we don't know when I will (Orlando office seems a slow mover) So I just wondered what the process is for our situation? From what I understood there's nothing we can do but wait to get my numbers... but maybe I'm wrong? Just wanted to double check with this community as we're all in the same boat and have the same issues! Congrats to all who have had the interview and good luck to the rest  waiting! :)

We got our interview scheduled notice today!! Good luck to everyone else waiting here!

For those who got this message.. when your letter arrived, how far out was your interview date?

Just online notice, so took a day between "ready" and "scheduled." I'm expecting a letter in the mail next week with the date.

Congrats!! 😊

For us, the interview is about 6 weeks away from when our letter arrived.

It depends on your local field office and what availability they have 🙂
