Hello everyone here.
My case status shows “Case Was Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken”. I wonder it’s different from “Fingerprints completed”.
Can I get an RFE?

10/28 NoA

11/29 Biometrics done

Mine changed to that status before I got the RFIE. However, there is no way to tell.

I believe you can get RFE anytime until your case says “ready to be scheduled for an interview”. At that point you’re in line waiting for an interview and they’re not actively working on your case.

Thank you for your comment. True. Nobody knows... I’m just scared because my initial application was denied because couldn’t answer to the due of RFIE. We’ll see...

We did send the response for the RFIE on 1/3/20. Just got the notification today (1/6/20) saying, response to RFE was received from USCIS. Hopefully, we will get the appointment notice soon :innocent:

If it is of any help, I downloaded an app called "Case Tracker" so I didn't have to go to the website to check my case. The app just notifies me whenever I get an update just like what happened today. :)

Sorry if this has been asked before: where do you find the correct i130 processing time? All my files (i130, i485, i765, etc.) went to the NBC in Missouri, but you can only select Potomac, Texas, California and some others. How do I narrow down which USCIS timeline to follow?? It's giving me minor stress, please help.

It depends on why you are adjusting status. For example, my AOS is family based. In this case, all forms are reviewed first by the MSC (National Benefits Center). Then, once the initial review is done and after the fingerprints, the I-485 gets sent to your local field office. That's when you'll get the 'interview ready to be scheduled' update. You should search your USCIS field office by your zip code. The I-765 and the I-131 are processed at the National Benefits Center. I hope it is clear.
