To me, it looks like they havent even seen a record of birth. Generic letter.

We have received exactly the same letter. They wanted a birth certificate with at least a parent's name on it (the one i submitted only had my name and my date of birth)

Does anyone here on the forum know on average how long will it take for them to go through our cases once they receive the resonse to the RFIE?

Seems like this seems to be a recent issue with those RFE about BCs. We've received the exact same letter but the thing for us is that I sent in my international birth certificate which is a multilingual BC. The same one has been sent by a couple other VJ members from Germany and Austria but for some reason we got a RFE and mine wasn't good enough for them. So we'll be sending in a translation by a translator by the end of this week and I hope they will be happy with that one. x.x

We sent in the birth ceritifcates, long forms (listed place of births with parent names), and translated copys ceritifed by me.  Although i didnt change the date format from DD/MM/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY.  I listed what im sending  earlier in this thread.  Seems to be a generic birth vertificate request.

Got the letter in the mail today! 😁

Interview Date: February 11!

Field Office: Indianapolis

How long ago was your interview scheduled? Mine was scheduled 8 days ago according to my case status, but still no notice in the mail. 🥺 This is the most inopportune time of year for bureaucracy and receiving mail.

Mine was scheduled last Thursday, the 26th. They sent the letter on the 27th. I'm only an hour away from Indianapolis so maybe that's why we got it in the mail so quickly.

I read from a previous post in this thread that all the AOS interview notices ship from Missouri (?). My field office is Memphis and I’m less than an hour out from there, too. 😣 I guess it’s only been like 5 business days as of today, so hopefully Thursday or Friday.

Oh, and how did you know the date the letter was sent??

Like you said, this time of year is crazy for mail. I hope you get it soon!! 🤞

You can see that K-1 AOS applicants are not on the list of categories eligible for a waived interview.

https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-5

This policy change was put into effect by USCIS Policy Alert (PA)-2018-04 on May 15th 2018.

Do you know of something different?

You are really on top of things!

Got a seperate i485 biometrics letter like you told people to expect.

Thank you for helping out!

Spousal AOS

  10/8 - Case Recieved

  10/23 - NOA1s

  1/2 - i765 biometrics

  1/6 - i485 biometrics

When you go for i765 biometrics on 1/2, take i485 biometrics letter as well. They may be able to take i485 biometrics early so it will save you another trip.

Oh, didn't think of that. Thank you! Now I'm really hoping they'll just do it, because juggling a newborn, immigration, and life is making me batty 🤡

So we got our biometric appointment letter for I 765 but there is no update on the I 485 for. They haven’t even called us for the biometric yet it’s been 77 days since the noa1. We did call USCIS and put a service request no answer yet. Is it normal to take this long for the biometric appointment for AOS. thank you

Any Seattle field office fillers here? How are you guys doing?

Hi there, I’m in Seattle as well. My status updated to say they’re ready to schedule my interview on December 2 so now I wait. The Seattle office seems to be one that’s quite a bit backed up. What about you?

Congratulations! That’s awesome. My latest update was that they received my RFE. When did you get your EAD?
