Just got an update that my case is now ready to be scheduled for interview. This is going faster than expected. So interview should be just around the corner?

Sometimes ready to schedule is actually the interviews still months away. All it means is your paperwork is in order and you’re at the back of a huge line of people waiting for interview dates. Depending on so many different things it could be weeks or months or more. You can’t indicate how quick it’ll be just by ready to schedule.

Unfortunately it can still be a long wait (depending on your local field office).

It's been 3 weeks since my case updated to "ready to be scheduled". Hasn't been scheduled yet. No news. No change.

Hopefully we'll hear soon in January! 🤞

With all the waiting that we have had since K1, waiting for a (hopefully) a few weeks more is ok.

And yes, fingers crossed for January too!

After that update, it can take from minutes to years to get an interview scheduled. It only depends on your field office. Check similar timelines here in the forum to get an average time.

My I-485 also had a case change on Friday: ready for the interview to be scheduled. 😃 I sent in an AR-11 address change online the night before because my husband and I recently moved houses and I thought that’s what the update was when USCIS emailed me to say they actioned a case. A nice Christmas present from them. My field office is Memphis, TN, so we’ll see how long it takes for me to have my interview scheduled.

Congrats to everyone else who got the same update and good luck to the rest of you all. Immigration is one big waiting game, isn’t it?

Sorry for double-posting; I was preparing to wait months for my interview being scheduled, but it happened TODAY! Three days (one business day) after my case changed to “ready to be scheduled”. 😳 I’m honestly really scared about going to it. Interviews always make me really nervous. Any other Memphis filers here?

Thank you! I guess I’ll find out when the notice arrives in the mail. 😳 The question is, will it turn up at my old address or the new one I sent my alien CoA card in for a few days ago? 🤨 Lol. I’m supposed to get a confirmation about it by the 30th. My mother-in-law lives at the old address though so at least I know it’d be in good hands.

OK... so my status just changed to ready to schedule for interview... does this mean no RFE??? like my case was reviewed and now is being submitted to my local office and what we submitted was good enough? does this means my case has been transferred to West Palm beach?

I'm still on ready to schedule interview since November 7th, but my local  office is Dallas. I'm not looking for a interview any time soon.

hello my dear!!! Merry Christmassssss.. to you and to your lovely wife!!!  I have a question... so my status changes to ready to schedule interview, does this mean my case has been transferred to my local USCIS? and we passed verification of documents and no RFE?

Although you can be given a RFE at any time including up to and at the interview your status change does  suggest you are in the clear  for now at least until the interview  yes! That's  the way it appears anyway. And yes it means your case has been sent to your local field office. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!!!!
