Hi everyone we finally sent our case in on October 4th and I haven’t heard anything back yet .. it’s probably early but im reading people getting text messages of acceptance within 5 -6 days. Happy to be here and read everyone’s experience.

Heya! We are on the same timeline!  We haven't heard anything yet and the check also hasn't been cashed.. hopefully we will get updates soon and let you know as soon as! Thanks!

Yayy!! Someone actually feels what i feel lol that’s great! Good luck to you!! I’ll update if I have any new info! Thank you

Also how can you track that the check hasn’t been cashed? I thought you can only track your case when you get back a receipt number.

You'll both be fine don't  worry. You can track your check through your bank. Just like you got through the K1 process you'll for sure get through this AOS process. Congrats on your submissions.

Hi

Our checks were cashed 8 days after the package was delivered.

A question: our attorney, who has been known to give us incorrect info, said that the picture of the cashed check available through our bank, would show the receipt number on the back, in the endorsement section. It looks like the checks was cashed electronically (ACH) amd my bank doesn’t yet show an image.

Does that match other folks experience? I’m guessing it will be another week or two before we receive the NOA1 in the mail.

I can’t really answer that question because I haven’t use the bank account we sent money order that’s why I wasn’t sure how can I track that.

Look very close at my time line, not fast at all 299 days for K1 NOA2, 2 month setback after medical, 1 month setback after interview, so I've had to struggle through my whole visa journey so far. It is only now since the AOS that I have found some measure of normalcy. But I feel anyone's pain and stress dealing with this visa journey. Bottom line I understand your concerns as I have experienced some of the same. I try to be upbeat to other VJers and give them the bright side of things. I do tell my opinions sometimes not what  people would like to hear, but I say it in a way to NOT offend or at least I try too. Thank you for the congratulations, but I'm right here with you!!!!! BTW I was a May 2018 K1 filer. Most  ID SAY 80% of my group has gone before me and are now with GC. I'm still stumbling through, but I've never lost hope and neither should YOU or anyone here. I'm a September 2019 AOS filer, but I'm here with you too!!!!

Thanks for the detailed answer..What I meant by congratulation is and fast that I seen your AOS is moving fast you already had your biometric app sent out its coming in a few days which I’m hoping for and wish it will come for me some too but by the way yes I seen that from the beginning it wasn’t fast for you either..I just wish I have a magic ball where I can see where I’m going to be at in five months😁 you most definitely have your case further than me that’s why i said congrats its moving at least😊I don’t give up or lose hope easily.

I understand,  again you will be fine, the biometrics comes pretty fast, our appointment is actually 10/16.  The AOS process starts fast  for everyone but after the biometrics it slows down a bit.

Just mailed my wife's AOS package!

Excited, but a little apprehensive since according to VJ, our USCIS service center (San Francisco) is one of the slowest in the nation, with AOS approval now averaging 18 months (!)

We don't know if that means that EAD and AP will also be slower than average. We're hoping to travel back to China next summer for a second wedding with her Chinese friends and relatives, but it's really hard to plan for it since we don't even know if we'll have AP by then or not!

Hey guys,

My wife (USC) and I filled for my AOS at the Chicago lockbox.

Sent via USPS Express mail on 10/03/ 19, Package received by R. M 10/04/2019.

Now I worry so bad because I haven't heard anything yet, checks hasn't been cashed yet and no update whatsoever.

Is it too early to worry or wait?
