I just got an update that shows " Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken". Does anyone knows has the same update? What is this update even all about?

I went for my biometrics on 10th and the status show finger print is completed for form 1-485 and EAD but today now it changed to  finger print related to your form 1-485 is attached to your case. I checked for my EAD still remain your case is recieved nothing like finger print.

Not sure what that is all about. Fingerprints were completed on November 29th.

I won't worry about it for now.

I think those updates are meaningless, so no point in worrying about it.

The only good thing is that the EAD and AP waiting times have decreased a bit according to the website, but again no one knows!

Yes. i think it probably is a small update they may or may not do.. I have the same updated.

"Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken"

I take it is just saying fingerprints were completed, reviewed, and passed.

as it states.

LOL 😂. I think I am better getting into the holidays swing instead of worrying about this AOS process. I do not think it will get too far until the end of the year.

anyone who did their biometrics in el monte USCIS here in california?

I did mine for the second time because they cant read the first one. Did yours in the website of uscis updated the same day? Im just worried because it took them a month before they set for a second appointment. I just wanna make sure it takes time. because they did not ask me to sign again today. Im just wndring if they missed it. I ask the girl a lot of time if there is anything else she said everything is good.

I did my biometrics in El Monte on 10/29. End of November it said “interview ready to be scheduled” and December 10th the interview was scheduled.

I don’t remember if it updates right away but some people never even get updates so it’s not the best indicator on if your case is moving along.

My case was received September 30th but my Noa1 was dated October 8th. December 10th my status changed to ‘interview scheduled’ I’m in Los Angeles. So exciting. It’s crazy how some cases move so fast but others not.

Most people status change to that 30 days after your biometrics appointment. Really after this, you have to wait for your field office to schedule an appointment on your behalf. I was reading in here from people who filed for AOS in January whose status changed to an interview has been scheduled months after saying your file is ready for an interview. The point is it totally depends on your CIS office how soon or later you get an appointment.

Congrats!!
I got my ready to be scheduled Dec 5 waiting for the interview To be scheduled! Bellflower Ca to be exact was where he completed his biometrics. Good to see that it’s possible in CA or La county to have an interview date already.

My interview has been scheduled. It changed to ready for an interview about a month after biometrics, and then 2 weeks later it changed to interview has been scheduled and they mailed a notice of the date/instructions. I’m pretty surprised considering Los Angeles county usually has a very long processing time. But yes I know “ready to be scheduled” doesn’t really mean much as far as when people will get scheduled. Some people are right away like me and some still wait 9+ months.

I got a RFE today will be interesting in what it is.. sent everything requested.  Hoping its just wanting the official certified copy of the marriage certificate.  Got RFE for the k2 as well.. so im guessing is the certificate.

Couldnt be for my income as in 198% above poverty level for my household. 🤔

Yes for that you would need the letter. It really can be anything and it truly can be something very simple. I would not worry until you get that letter in the mail.

I probably wont even worry when i get the letter in the mail 😅

Hope they didnt lose a document. 🤣

Since both the k2 and k1 recieved the RFE today, im sure its something similar in both AOS packets such as birth certificate translations (i translated with certification attached), or marriage certificates (i sent photocopies of the certified certificate as instructions instruct)

Next week i see. if denied then i move to Mexico.  Really getting tired of how time consuming immigrations is. 🙄

Do not give up! You are getting there! I have my husband going through the AOS process and it is difficult, but I am sure it is worth it.
