anyone who did their biometrics in el monte USCIS here in california?

I did mine for the second time because they cant read the first one. Did yours in the website of uscis updated the same day? Im just worried because it took them a month before they set for a second appointment. I just wanna make sure it takes time. because they did not ask me to sign again today. Im just wndring if they missed it. I ask the girl a lot of time if there is anything else she said everything is good.

My wife did her biometrics in El Monte last week- 12/4.   Her 485/765 cases were updated on the USCIS website to 'Fingerprint Review Was Completed'  status the next day.

Hi fellow October filers. I was checking (as I'm sure most of us are doing almost every day) my uscis status online and I found out that I received a Request for Initial Evidence. We're obviously pretty bummed as we really made sure to include all possible evidences, but do you guys have any idea how this will slow down the process of receiving the EAD combo card / Interview? I still don't know the reason of the RFIE. Thank for your help

Approx. how long after the biometrics status (Fingerprint Review Was Completed) did it change to "Ready to Schedule"? I know it's different for everyone, just wondering a ballpark number of days from your experience.

It's only been a week so I know I may have a ways to go 😂

Mine took exactly a month to change to "ready to schedule". From my own observations of other poeple's timelines, it usually takes 25-30 days for it to change to "ready to schedule" after the biometrics. And two days after that mine changed to " interview was scheduled". I got the interview notice in the mail 5 days later which was last monday.

Can you please tell me if it was 5 business days or calendar days?  Our status changed this past Monday so needless to say we have our eyes on our Informed Delivery emails every morning.  We're anxious to know the day and time so we can make some preparations.  We're two calendar (and business) days in already.

Okay, yes it is expensive to live in the USA. If there is a need to start working right after landing in the USA, then the spouse visa is the route to go. Honestly, the rules are set in place even before applying for the fiance visa. A lot of people look at the fiance visa as a faster way to come to the USA, but do not look into downsides of choosing the K1 visa.

Spousal visa? It's when couple gets married outside of the USA? But then married couple simply gets separated because usually one of the partners flies back to USA because they have to get back to work there and do other things and the couple have to wait over a year for the visa just to be able to live together as husband and wife in the USA. It's cruel.

It is taking the same amount of time as the fiancé visa including AOS. But if you want to get a driver license and have the ability to work right away, it is the way to go. I have seen a lot of people lately taking the spouse visa route.

Being husband and wife usually means two people are living together as married couple. In the same place. Not in different countries. I wouldn't want to be separated from my husband by law, because that is neither good or fair. And psychologically very hard. Rather have him as just fiance while waiting for visa, it's less humiliating to wait. But that's my opinion.
