Sounds like the USCIS gave you a generic response which shows that you didn't document your income the way they want you to. We all understand how frustrating it can be to get RFIE like this. Your choices at this point are any combination of:

1. Send them more proof of income

2. Get a co-sponsor

3. Get help from an immigration lawyer

You can definitely find VJ posts from people in a similar situation here. Personally, I am planning on choosing only option 1 if the RFIE shows up in our mailbox. Good luck and let us know how it's going

Thank you. I'm assuming they must have missed something but i don't know how. We are leaning toward option 1, trying to redo all off the proof and then resend it. At this point it will be quicker and easier to do it that way as opposed to finding a co-sponsor. I'm still doing research to find posts of others that were in the same situation and how it turned out

Just got the social security card in the mail yesterday! (12/3/19)

It took more than 2 months from when we applied at the SSA.

That sounds about right! Congrats

Im thinking people also run into trouble when they are right at the threshold. USCIS is wanting people to be over the minimum. Remember it's up to each IO their discretion on what is sufficient.
