Hello! If my case status has changed to 'Ready to be scheduled for interview', does that mean I won't be receiving an RFE?

I tend to think not, but with USCIS you never know, but I suspect you can breathe a bit easier at least until the interview as you can receive one then.

Does anyone know if USCIS will be working on Black Friday ? I know they are closed on Thanksgiving but I am not sure about Friday. Thanks in advance.

I got a biometric appt for Black Friday, so I am assuming that section of USCIS is working

The notice for biometrics has instructions on how to reschedule the appointment. Most fields offices do not longer take walks-ins. I'd suggest you check the USCIS website for your field office.

I know it's too late for you, but maybe another member may have the same question.

You can still walk-in for an earlier biometrics appointment at most offices once you have your biometrics appointment notice in-hand.  When you show up at an earlier date, if they cannot see you at the time of your walk-in attempt they will tell you the day and time you can come back.  If that fails then you just keep your notice appointment.  I know this because we did it at the Baltimore USCIS Processing Center.

That said, I don't think completing your biometrics a few days earlier really negates the waiting period that comes after it.  So if you don't have a scheduling conflict with your given appointment date, just wait for it and save yourself the hassle.

Depends on the field office - you are rushing to things. Have some patience!

Once the NBC is finished looking over your packet  and before they send your case to your local office  if your case meets requirements (no RFE) they will change the status then send off. I imagine  they are still looking at your case. So as far as timeframe there  is no set timeframe.

That's gonna be based on the waiting time of your local office. Check the USCIS website for the estimate.

I sent the evidence required for each immigration benefit and nothing that wasn't explicitly mentioned in USCIS's instructions. I don't believe you necessarily need to be married to receive work authorisation or advance parole, so I assume it's fine to have only sent a copy of the MC in with the I-485. This was my thinking, anyway, and it's what I did. I also sent a scanned copy of my MC because we only have one certified copy on hand at the moment. :( Oh well.

I received my hard copy NOAs on 11/1 and haven't gotten my bio appointment letter yet. It'll be a week tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes.

Pls have you gotten your biometrics appointment now? Am still waiting for mine nothing till now...

Hi there, from memory, I got my biometrics appointment letter in the mail one week after receiving my NOAs. I did my biometrics last week Wednesday. Have you considered calling USCIS to see what date you may have been given?
