I am not hyper, nor I am all over the place, I was concerned because we read too many information and many comments and I want to make sure I sent the right forms and payment... if you read above there is some one who submitted the I -485 with two different payments, one for 1.225.00 and the other one for $535.00.... so as  you can see, everyone gives a totally different info and it makes you doubt and confuse...

My post was just  a figure of speech in a good  way, but I'll  avoid directing  comments your way from now on out!!!!

I've filed on similar dates just like yourself but concurrent filling of I-130 and I-485.

30th of September - package sent

October 1st - package delivered via USPS to Chicago

However, the checks are yet to be cashed and I'm beginning to worry :(

Hello, I wanted to ask you, what was the $535 fee for? I am kind of confused, because I just submitted my AOS package and I want to make sure I did it correctly... ☺️

Hi! So the $535 fee is for the form I-130 ( Petition for Alien Relative ) and its filled out by your spouse ( the citizen ). I don't think you need to file this particular form if you married under the K1 visa, however, if you married on your work/travel/student, I think you have to, along with the I-485, USCIS encourages you filling all of it together.

This part of the forum is for K1/K3 visa only, that's why they got confused.

The forum for AOS for any other visa than K1 is this one: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-amp-tourist-visas/

I think you are confused. This thread is the AOS from K1 hence the confusion from the other poster and the poster you replied to linked you to the other AOS forum for non K1.
