I never thought a federal building office would be open on a black Friday. I am defeinitely thankful for that. I also found a resource from USCIS on historic average processing times for various applications; I thought of sharing the link just in case anyone is interested in looking at it.

Hi Everyone

Question, on your cover letters for the I485, the Petitioner is now the individual who received the K1 visa corrent? As in I am the one with the K1 Visa - so I was the Beneficiary with the I129F but since I am filling the I485 then I am now the petitioner?

The person filing the I-485 application to adjust status is the applicant.  The I-485 is not a petition.  The K-1 visa is the applicant on the I-485 seeking to adjust their status for a green card.

The I-129f is a petition for a fiance.  Since it's a petition, the person filing it is the petitioner.

When are you actually going to file or have you already?

The Notice Date on our I-485 NOA is October 17. It's been more than a month, and we still haven't received our biometrics appointment letter. Is anyone else in a similar situation?

That was us too! It took us 5 weeks to get our biometrics appointment letter.

NOA Date - Oct 4

Biometrics Letter - Nov 7

Biometrics Appointment: Nov 20

Unfortunately it varies! For some people it goes faster. Hope you get it soon!

We sent the file on October 16 , reached October 17th, we got NOA's 3 weeks after that and received an appointment for biometrics a week after we got NOA's on the mail. Yours should be on your way!

I had my biometrics appointment on November 8th. I wanted to know what website do you use to check your biometrics status? When I log into my USCIS account it doesn’t state anything further than my initial noa2 date. And the NVC status tracker is the only other website I’m aware of but that too doesn’t tell me of my biometrics. Kindly help! :)
