Yes you are correct congratulations

Thanks Sarge!

I forgot that the texts would go to my wife and not me.  She received the texts earlier today at 12:40 AM.  NOA's should come in the next 1-2 weeks!

I have a question, so since we applied for work auth and travel document, once you get your biometrics done, do we get an interview before the work permit is approved?

Usually  you get your EAD and AP before your interview but it depends on your local  office and how fast or slow your  GC is processed.

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

I have a hunch we will see our GC before EAD and AP based on some anecdotal evidence available to me.  We'll see.

Planning on mailing my AOS documents today. I have two questions:

1. Do I have to submit an original or copy of my marriage certificate?

2. Do I have to sign & date all supporting documents and/or write my name and A number on the top corner or something like that? Or just clip it to the back of the forms.

Thanks!

I saw that the USCIS check payment just hit our account this morning. 😁

Our paperwork was delivered back on 10/21.  Still waiting for confirmation texts, but I'm assuming that should arrive in the next few days.

My check was cashed last night - I think we should get the letters soon on the mail. It took me 3 weeks to hear back from USCIS after mailing out the application.

Send copies of everything.

no need to sign supporting documentation. Just the forms - ensure they are all filled out and signed accordingly.

I would do the original of the marriage certificate, just to be safe. I've heard people got RFE for that reason.

NO, do not EVER send ANY original documents to USCIS. If anything carry originals to the interview at their request.

I did a lot of research before I put my AOS package together and pretty much everyone suggested to put the original copy of your marriage certificate. That is technically a copy but is notarized and certified. When you get married they give you as many copies as you want, but you need to pay extra.

Yep! That’s what I did. Got certified copies and sent them with each application. They stamp it at the county clerks office and it will have a raised seal. They will sign it. If you send in your original copy you will never get it back! @LOve17

No need to send certified copies.

You make a copy of your marriage certificate with your printer  at home or the library and send that. there will no issues.

No need to complicate a case by doing a lot of research - that it is how people get screwed in an immigration process. Keep it simple and to the point.

Are copies of the marriage certificate also required for the I-765 and I-131 sections or just one copy is enough for the entire application?
