I had my biometrics yesterday in Tampa, very easy! Does anyone know how long til I should receive some type of update regarding my case?

Depends on your local office. Every office process cases different. From what I have read in other people posts, the next step after biometrics is either RFE or case ready to be scheduled for interview. Give it several weeks. Once the status changes to "case ready to be schedule for interview" you will know that NBC had transfered your case to your local office.
