Good catch. Texas was definitely a typo. Possibly a flashback from the K-1 petition

Sent our packet last October 2 via UPS. Packet received by USCIS on October 8. Payment via credit card too, but it still hasn’t charged us. Did you have to call your bank to give them a heads up? I’ve read from a previous post that the transaction was declined as the bank thought it was fraudulent.

I didn't make a call to pre-authorize the card. TBH, I didn't want to risk confusing my bank (US Bank) and making the situation worse. 

 

Our charge hit the card yesterday, but as of this morning we have still not received any notifications from the USCIS.

 

To paraphrase what I said before: All of us October filers need to be patient...I'm sure the USCIS employees are overwhelmed with the huge amount of "beat the deadline" packages AND the blocking of the public charge final rule.

UPDATE!!!

My checks were cashed on 10/11/2019 

Application was received 10/04/2019..

 

However, no text messages or email receipt yet.

so it took them 8 days to cash your check... today its a week since they received our AOS package... nothing yet, may be next week

Ours arrived there on Oct 7, but still haven’t had a charge or heard anything. Only a matter of days I’m sure. The waiting is the worst!!

Sometimes they don't  update by email or text. You'll only get the hard copy in the mail. But you'll get it I'm sure.

Technically, however, I think they go by business days, so that means you should check in with your bank tomorrow or Wednesday. You'll definitely get a response soon.
