Here's my timeline regarding my EAD combo card renewal:

11/03/20 - Filed I-765 and I-131 Renewal Pack (No Payment Included)

11/05/20 - Received by USCIS (from UPS Tracking)

11/22/20 - Receipt Numbers received by SMS (IOE case prefix)

11/27/20 - NOA1 has been received via USPS

12/10/20 - Processed by USCIS and previous Biometrics will be reused

01/06/20 - Approved and Combo Card issued

I also have a IOE case number, how about you?

I'm currently waiting on receiving the EAD combo card via mail.

We are waiting for the NAO1 for the renewal. Made a mistake and sent the packet to Dallas instead of Chicago so I think that’s what is taking longer cause it’s been 38 days since USPS delivered it 😭 Hoping to hear soon cause the initial expires 1/21 and they aren’t allowing us to do a case inquiry yet. Was your case MSC before and turned to IOE with the renewal?

After several long months, I'm pleased to announce I have been approved for my greencard at the Tampa, FL USCIS office. After leaving the office, I received a text message 15 minutes later saying my card was being produced.

Oof, so sorry to hear that! Sounds like this will be delaying your process by a little bit since they would need to relocate it to the correct office. Keep in mind that with the NOA1 in hand, your EAD gets extended for another 180 days but you'll need to be patient until receiving it. Wishing you all the best on that one and fingers crossed. 🤞

And yes, I started off with a MSC case number and it switched to IOE when I filed for the renewal which seems to be a new thing and definitely speeds up the process since it's all electronical apparently.

Those are awesome news, congrats to you too! ❤️ Seems like our EAD renewals are close as in timelines. I do have to point out that my AP status hasn't changed yet either but I'm sure it will switch once I receive the card. That's how it went for me last time. 😂

Thank you! Thats a relieved! Better to have the AP even though we are not sure when we can travel haha

Yeah, I'm personally not too worried about my AP for now especially with COVID and what not, but that's just me. :D

We had the interview yesterday. The interviewer was really friendly and we just had conversation about how we met. She also went over the I-485 and yes/no questions. She didn't ask for any documents or originals of what we submitted prior. After we heading back to home got the status update that "New card is being produced"

Interview report!

More than 15 months from filing back in October 2019, we finally had our interview this morning.

San Francisco USCIS field office. Parked at the Hilton Hotel two blocks away.

The whole area is deserted due to Covid, and the building is kind of creepy as it's covered in anarchist and "F*** ICE" graffiti.

Went through security, equal to airport security, they have you take off your belt and shoes.

USCIS waiting room was nearly empty, most seats marked closed due to Covid.

Waited about 15 minutes, then got called in by a youngish female officer.

My wife and I went in together. The officer had me immediately turn over my big stack of documents/evidence of our marriage.

The officer's attitude was friendly, but she did ask more questions than I was expecting, though nothing too surprising. Interview lasted about 30 minutes.

She asked my wife my birthday, her parents' names, what my job is, how we met, where we live. She asked us both if we had any previous marriages or kids (no). She asked me about our joint bank accounts (yes). She asked my wife how she is supported financially (by me). And then she asked several of the "security" questions from the I-485 form. Up until now, my wife had been listening and responding in English, but the questions in this section were too difficult, so the officer actually got a Chinese language interpreter up on the phone for this part. We didn't have to pay anything for this or arrange this ahead of time.

At the end of the interview, the officer said "well it looks like everything is in order" and thanked us for coming in. She never actually told us "you passed". She haded us a "notice of interview results" that said "USCIS is unable to complete your case at this time. Your case is being continued until a final decision can be made" and "Your case is being held for review." I wasn't worried, because I figured this was just standard routine processing.

Just a few hours after the interview, we logged onto the USCIS website and checked her I-485 case status, and saw the good news. Her case status had been updated today and read "New Card Is Being Produced. On January 28, 2021, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number xxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us." I think it's safe to assume that this point that this means she was approved, and should be receiving her GC shortly!

Hi, We had the interview Tuesday. The interviewer was nice and smooth. and we just had conversation about how we met and we explained with our photos each steps since 2015 untill now. She also went over the I-485 and yes/no questions. At the end She didn't ask for any documents. She said if you want to give me any update evidence it’s enough. We surprised because we have everything with us what if we wanna give all that documents (2 folder). Anyway we asked if she want something specific, she said no need evidence but you can give me something like bank statements etc. if you want. So we gave her bank statements, insurance and rental agreement, while we trying to give her bills she said no need it these are enough. Also didnt accept photos either. Anyway she said i dont see any issue in your case its looks nice. She gave classical ending speech like” I completed interview my supervisor will review one more time. Before 120 days dont call etc and she gave us letter.

After we heading back to home got the status update that "Interview is completed and case must be reviewed”

its make me sad to be honest. Because everything seems well i dont understand why she didnt approved right away. Did anyone get this kind of status update?

That is the same status update we got, and it just took one more day for "Card is Being Produced." If you think it was a good interview and the IO seemed positive about you guys, try not to worry about it, ok? I'm pretty certain our IO was convinced our relationship was legitimate before the interview, but he never said "You are Approved," or anything like that either. Just Trust that (like she said) the supervisor just has to do their job and review/sign off on it. Nothing more.

This is unfortunately how bureaucracy tends to work. Many steps and most of them are stressful.

Relax. Focus on your Husband/Wife because you're in love so you've already won the "prize"💝

Thank you, you are right. It was frustrating to not be approved immediately when others are, but the interview went well and I have no other reason to think theres a problem. It was really hard at first, but Ive relaxed more now and feel better.

So after a year we finally have the greencard interview for next week. On the list of items to bring is form i-693 "if necessary."  Do we really need this- I feel like he had to present medical info when he came into the country?  Do we have to run to a doctors to get this info?  Thank you.
