Thought I would share for those who haven't heard much of anything so far: originally filed 2019/10/09. No EAD card yet, and my F1-visa EAD card expired in January, so since then forcibly unemployed.

Current status:

2020/03/11 I-485 interview ready to be scheduled

2020/03/06 I-131 fingerprints applied to case (don't know why they weren't applied earlier)

2019/11/14 I-765 fingerprints applied to case

Had an RFEI in December, had sent the wrong tax documents, but that's been fixed. Here's hoping for progress...

Can you share more about your rfie and what was the error and how you took care of it?I had a tax related rfie in November/december as well and we haven't heard back since...

We filed mid-October and are still waiting on our I-131 and I-765 approval.  I'm guessing there are still a lot of us waiting.  I pulled the closest 500 cases around ours (90241xxx) and only 29 I-131 approvals with 53 left to be approved.  Only two (2) I-765's approved and 83 to be approved.

The tracking site shows that USCIS is working on November filers already.  We didn't have any RFE's.  Hoping that our case and any October filers still waiting are processed soon.

In the same boat, no RFEs or any approvals. Super nervous but I will wait patiently!

Based on the USCIS's own site, the processing times for I-485's at the National Benefits Center (Chicago) are currently 6-8 months for [(c)(9)] filers. They are showing a Receipt Case for a Case Inquiry of July 30th, so we still have about 2-3 more months before we can request an inquiry into our case.

From the USCIS link:

We have posted a “Receipt date for a case inquiry" in the table below to show when you can inquire about your case. If your receipt date is before the “Receipt date for a case inquiry", you can submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online.

This is the same timeline for I-131 filers.

Based on my understanding, I think the I-485's processing time has to deal with your own local office and the I-131 processing times are for the National Benefits Center.

For certain transcripts, we had sent in "wage and income transcripts" (different kind of transcript you can get from irs.gov) instead of tax return transcripts. Sent in tax return transcripts to take care of it.

This is interesting.  I'm curious as to how many K1 October AOS filers that are still waiting had any special circumstances (prior divorces, name changes, children, etc) and how many were more clear cut (first time marriages with no children).

Hi everyone, I got my interview schedule from the mail recently. I entered the US on a K-1 visa. Medical exam is mandatory so I had it last April 16, 2019. My green card interview is scheduled on the 8th of April, 2020. My question is, do I still have to submit the medical exam form I-693 even if my medical is valid for a year? Or is the DS-3025 enough?

OMG our interview is on the same day!!! Congratulations

For those that have not seen the USCIS news:

USCIS is Suspending In-Person Services at all local offices effective March 18 to (at least) April 1st Due to Covid-19.  This includes all scheduled interviews.  Processing at USCIS offices not requiring face time will continue as normal.

Full details from USCIS are here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-response-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19

I'm sure this will effect the majority of people on this thread. We have our interview scheduled for March 25, so it effects us. If by some miracle they are able to re-open the USCIS offices after April 1st, there's still bound to be a substantial backlog of interviews that didn't happen during the period of closure. This obviously sucks for those of us who now have to wait even longer to get to the next step of our immigration journey. In perspective, though, the public health crisis that is unfolding around the globe is certainly more of a priority than adding a few more months to our already long wait times.

In the meantime, please stay safe and make good decisions about your interactions with others. We'll all get through this dark period. And we'll all get through it faster and safer if we follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
