Update!

From receiving an update on the MyUscis website appointment canceled we received a letter for our appointment! we didn’t get a notice online but our appointment is March 4 10:30 am!

Los Angeles, CA

Hi!!!

Our interview appointment is on the same day - 3/4/2020 @ 10:30AM. :)

My field office is also in Los Angeles, CA.

My case was ready to be scheduled for interview on 1/29/2020, but interview was cancelled on 02/03/2020.

3 days later, i received an interview notice dated 2/4/2020 for 3/4/2020 appointment.

I have like 3-4 people whose field office is LA experience the same issue as ours.

I think USCIS made a mistake where they were supposed to update our case status to "INTERVIEW SCHEDULED" but instead, they put "INTERVIEW CANCELLED"

Anyways, good luck to us!

Mine was:

Thursday - New card is being produced

Friday - Case approved ( I was confused cause it should be case approved and then new card is being produced haha)

Monday - Card has been mailed

I'm actually kinda worried since today it stayed the same in "case approved" (after new card is being produced, message on Thursday changed to case was approved in Friday too haha) so now I'm kinda worried...

Has this happen to anyone else 😬?

Yes. My updates were in that order, and i still got both my card & NOA2. The card just arrived first, don't worry.

Thank you for the encouragement!

Just a small update, today it changed to "card was mailed to me"

Next update I believe will be "card was picked by USPS" which will happen in a few days hopefully 😅

Hey everyone!

I had my AOS interview yesterday.... we got approved!!! 😁 USCIS office: Indianapolis

My husband and I were called in together. They asked him most of the questions about our relationship but nothing too detailed. They were all just standard "how did you meet, how long did you date before getting engaged, where was your wedding?"

Then they asked me the long yes/no questions of "have you ever committed a crime?" Etc. So annoying 😂

The only things she asked for was to to see our birth certificates and passports/ID. That was it.

Then after looking through our application, she said "I'll approve your case!"  - my online status already shows that a new card is being produced 😊

We are so relieved this journey is over! (Well until another 2 years Haha)

Best of luck to everyone else here!! Thank you to those who helped me.

If anyone has more questions about the interview, feel free to message me!

Our interview is scheduled for 3/16 in Manchester, NH.  Yay!!

One thing that concerns me in the listed requirements is that they ask for birth certificates of "ALL CHILDREN".  Does anyone know if that includes ADULT children from our previous marriage?  I (petitioner) have 2 daughters (17 and 25 yo) and my K1 wife has a son (24 yo) which are not part of the petition.  The letter (which seems generic) says:

    - If you have children, bring a Birth Certificate for each of your children

and

    - Birth Certificates for all children of this marriage, and custody papers for your children and for your spouses's children not living with you

Would that include ADULT children?  And original certificates with translations?

Thanks for your help!

My card should be here on Thursday! I appreciate how they get it done fast after case is approved.
Congratulations to you!

And today I got "we ordered your new card" for our EADs! NOA was October 11th, 2019.

Somehow, the I-131 hasn't been updated: should I expect a combo card or is there a possibility the AP will be approved later?

It's frequently the case that the status of the I-131 isn't updated but you get a combo card anyway.
