Hello everyone! Hubby and I are gathering the evidence for our interview. I wanted to know your opinion on it. So far we have:
- Joint lease
- a letter from landlord saying he pays for utilities
- Health insurance card
- Car insurance with both our names on it.
- Joint bank account.
- Me as authorized user of husband's bank account
- 39 everyday pictures.
- Wedding pictures
- Guest cards of people that came to our wedding
- 10 pages of text messages (different years, from 2018 til today).
- affidavits of support from 2 friends.
- vet bill with both our names on it.
- Emails between me and his mom (approximately 10)

Any suggestions are welcome!

It's really solid! I'd just leave out the text messages & emails --anyone can be ra0010'sMom@gmail.com & no one will read/flip through years of texts msgs. Maybe a call log of just your # with the date would be more prudent (T-Mobile & other carriers can do this). Put the pictures in an album (maybe label the back of each lightly: date & place) & paperclip or lightly tape a few cards into the album. That makes it much easier to flip through and get the full effect. Plus they can take what they want and you'll be able to see the gaps later.

Everything else is pretty concrete.

Much more than we have..

Good luck y'all!

Thank you! I'll take your suggestions into consideration. We have an album where you can write the description on the side of each photo, and each photo has a digital copy, so they can take whatever they want, same as with wedding pictures.

In relation to the calls, my hubby and I don't call each other that much except for when he's out of town/ state working.

How do I access the phone calls to a certain number?

Depends on your phone carrier. Try logging into your online account, and search "phone logs" or something similar.. Google will guide you better depending on your provider. For T-Mobile it was roughly: Account >>History >> [type phone number] >>Enter. Then it pulled up 2 pages of all the calls & texts over the last 2 years, just dates & duration not content.

It's great that some couples in this thread are getting their interviews already. Can someone who has received an interview appointment letter please post it here (after obscuring any personal information)? Sharing the USCIS instructions on what evidence to bring will certainly help your fellow VJ members prepare for their interviews which are still several months away.

Many who filed in August and September still waiting too.  I think some July filers as well!

Thank you so much for your response.  🙂

you don’t have to be concerned. Per USCIS estimated waiting times it takes 5.5-7.5 months to receive your EAD. On their website it says they’re processing July cases. Yes, in reality it takes less time, but I’d be concerned only if their website was e.g. saying processing November cases. There’s no pattern to how they process EAD’s. I mean, I’m sure there is, but it’s a huge mystery to us :) . I follow both August and September AOS and many people are still waiting. But I feel you....it’s frustrating

Thank you so much 🙂
