I’m adjusting from F-1. I have had my SSN for 8 years, so we filed jointly already :)

That's awesome! How did you get your ssn as a student? I've been F-1 forever, but never learned how to drive and didn't manage to find a job in college. Both are bad stories and examples of parents aren't always right..

Very happy morning today - EAD card is being produced. My timeline is updated, if you’re interested.

Congrats! So it looks like your RFE didn't slow down your EAD approval? May I ask how long you took to respond to the RFE? Thanks!

I actually got my SSN when I was an aupair (J1 visa). I was able to apply for it back then :) . And in college I had on campus jobs and I did two OPT programs.

Nope. USCIS and my attorney confirmed that RFE for I-485 won’t slow it down. Our attorney answered back on our behalf. I got the RFE notification on 11/27 and they received our response on 12/23. They wanted a form that’s not a part of the initial packet.

Wow, you did good work. I got sucked into the American Highschool & College experience thinking I would go back.. Oh well, just 1 week more to wait. Your path is still majorly impressive though 😁

Nice - thanks for the info and congrats on the approval!  Our attorney said the same.  Is your I-485 status still response to evidence received, or did it move to interview ready to be scheduled before you got the EAD?

Thank you. Changed to ready on 1/3. It will be a while. Seattle’s processing times are super long.

I finally got an update that my interview is ready to be scheduled. Not quite as exciting as your guys' news but I'm just happy to finally hear something. 😊

Exciting nonetheless! Every little step or progress on this journey should be celebrated for sure, one cannot buy the giddiness that every change in our cases gives to us, one step closer to freedom!
