Yes, exactly and that they started working on my case again.

That makes your case even weirder then.

Most of the time, people don't get their EAD's until the case switches to "ready to schedule interview" meaning that they don't need no more evidence from you on regards to you I-485 and that you are good to go "work wise" I suppose.

Regardless, consider yourself very very fortunate, many (including myself) are dying to work an a RFIE is like stepping on a nail for our journeys. Super congrats ❤️

Is that generally true? I remember my lawyer saying that getting an RFE/RFIE does not impact the I-765/I-131 processing time.

I got good news which is a bit ironic since we just spoke about it. My status of the I-485 just switched to Ready to be scheduled for an Interview. 🙈 And thankies, I really appreciate your kind words! Hopefully you’ll get yours soon too. 💗

I used to believe that too, that is, until I looked more into it and people pointed that the USCIS website used to have up this bit of information in regards to processing times and the impact that RFE's would have on a petition.

I wish I could find the image but pretty much, a RFIE will reset the clock on your petition, meaning that you may or may not get lucky like some (for example @Nyalimera's case) and the rest of us people.

Hence why the common thing to see is AFTER your case says "ready to schedule interview" then they begin processing back the EAD

Eventually we'll all end up in the same place, with our EAD's, even if it's outside normal processing times, so all one can do is sit tight, cross your fingers while you do something to not bore yourself to death lol, and have more patience that you could ever imagine to need in your life.
